I did find that the game took a bit of getting used to before I could fully enjoy it. And there were aspects (such as the map) that I imagine could really annoy people. But it's a game that isn't afraid to do it's own thing, and it really benefits from it.
I was only thinking the other day how great a true remake of the PS3s Warhawk would be nowadays. I feel that game was ahead of its time (for a console game - I realise there were lots of similar PC games before it).
It had some of the best large-scale multiplayer maps I have ever seen, each of which pushed a completely different style of gameplay. The different weapon and vehicle options were extremely well balanced, and the graphical style was the perfect blend for a semi-...
How does the series play on PS5? Any noticeable improvements?
I love the Arkham series - I go back to those games every few years. Not a bad game amongst them.
I had a go on it at a friend's house a couple of years ago, but I don't have PS VR myself!
It may be wishful thinking, but I'd love it if they were slowly paving the way for more content.
Agreed. I hardly ever get into online games. I'm not a competitive gamer at all. And while I'm aware that there are much more popular multiplayer online games out there, something about Destruction AllStars has clicked with me, and I reckon I'll be playing quite a bit of it.

That's true. I forget sometimes about the ending fiasco, as I was late to the franchise, and already knew about the disappointing ending before I even started the first game.
I can't even disagree... Each game brought something so different that I could argue why any of them are the best.
Even Andromeda (the worst in the series) has elements that, if focused on independent from other aspects, makes it the best Mass Effect game.
(Waiting for the disagrees...)
I agree. However I think they compliment each other. Mass Effect 2 was more of a sandbox, whereas Mass Effect 3 was very narrative driven. Mass Effect 3 wouldn't work if it wasn't for Mass Effect 2.
However, despite its ending, Mass Effect 3 manages to be the single most cinematic game I've ever seen (I'd love to know if there are other games that similarly manage to make you feel as though you're playing a movie).
Really? A slightly altered camera angle is enough to put you off the game? That seems like an overreaction.
I understand that you might take issue with the idea of "censoring", but this is a creative decision made by the people who created the game. And I guess your protest may be more about the state of the industry, etc. But if the developer is uncomfortable with putting out a game with that scene in it unchanged, then it's their decision at the end of the d...
You won me over with the hashtag.

There is sadly a lot about Fenyx Rising that makes it derivative of other Ubisoft games and games by other developers. It's a shame really, as I've really enjoyed it. There's an awful lot to like, and with just a little more originality, the game could have really shone.
This is what won me over to Miles Morales. It irritated me so much in the original game that you could do the first wave of Hideouts perfectly stealthy, but the game would force you to do the following waves in combat. The first game couldn't really be played using stealth tactics, whereas Miles gave you the choice.
You might be right. But I wouldn't worry too much. I suspect Sony have made a decision not to announce release dates until much closer to the launch of the game, so as to avoid any negative press about delaying their games. After all, in this year the chance of something causing a game to be delayed is much higher than normal.
Great article! Don't know why you're getting so many downvotes!
I particularly like the art style of the map in God of War - it almost has a hand-crafted feel to it, yet the stark colours really make it come alive. It always reminded me of the Game of Thrones title sequence, and opening the map gave me a similar sense of excitement as those titles gave me at the start of every episode.
The rings are probably the toughest things to collect in the game. Sadly, it's not just a case of 'go here and collect this'. The game makes you play havoc with the tendency systems. How close to getting all the rings are you?
Congratulations on the platinum! I thoroughly enjoyed my journey to get it!
Honestly, Demon's Souls has ruined me for every other PS5 game.
Looking forward to additional haptic feedback on the PS5. I've only just started the game, so will enjoy this!
Much like the TV shows and films it's story is inspired by, the plot is supposed to leave you with a sense of uncertainty. Just take what you can get from it in the knowledge that you're not supposed to understand everything! :)
