I'm curious to see how my hometown's handling the launch.

that I'm actually not too bad at racing games, as I'm a big fan of them.

I guess that's what happens when you drive a little car that goes beep-beep, and don't get behind the wheel of a monster truck or an SUV very often.

and tell us how you really feel about him.

Go ahead...put the political correctness aside and don't pull any punches this time.

Although I'm absolutely pumped about the beauty and uniqueness of the game itself, if the demo is any indicator...well, uh...I really, really, suck despite my consistent efforts.

For that reason, I may have to limit this to a rental. <SNIFF, SNIFF!>

but am one of those people whose opinion is that rumble is relatively insignificant - especially if I have to choose between that option and that of Sixaxis. I'm happy that Sony has addd an additional feature to the machine. Not only because I'm a sucker for options, bells and whistles in general, but also because I'm well aware of the overwhelming demand for the rumble feature. Sony's decision is great because

a) Satisfied customers = happy customers. I like happy. Happy ...

You know, this has gotta be, bar none, the most upbeat, and hottest day yet for the PS3 since launch, with absolute hordes of positive and ground-breaking news flying all over the place!

It's funny, I'm often scavaging for new goodies about the PS3...but today, I can't even keep up with all these optimistic announcements!

Put on them shades, boys...'cause I see incredibly bright days ahead!!!

This has gotta be the jolliest forum thread I've ever experienced in my life!

Oh well, if this is what it takes, then Hell, why not?

Rejoice Rumble-fans, and sincere congratulations!

It's probably limited to more like a couple of times a week.

I usually use the internet when the wife needs the PC to carry out her school work. Otherwise, I prefer the PC.

Nevertheless, the Wii's a quite capable and intuitive tool for browsing the net.

But the difference is the DURATION that the novelty (or interest in general) lasts.

Since aquiring my PS3 only a number of weeks after the Wii, I've been finding myself time and time again veering towards, and heavily preferring to play, the PlayStation. And my excitement for the PS3 only keeps growing, while my desire to switch on the Wii continues to wane.

A perfect case in point to demonstrate my fizzing interest is this website in particular. I've always le...

but it sure would be a helluva bonus to have a kickass integrated HD movie player to compliment those inevitable jaw-dropping games.

Bring on the movies, baby!!!

Perhaps you didn't hook your system up properly.

What you need is a good set of rabbit ears, I tell ya.

Crystal-clear reception every time!

(awww, shucks...you're welcome!)

No wonder this chap's all disgruntled, hot and bothered...all grown up and not even potty-trained.

Breaks my heart, truly.

Contrary to popular opinion, I don't think you can go wrong with either system for all intents and purposes, as they both boast some pretty impressive eye-candy.

I personally have a satisfying WiiS3 setup myself.

Besides, you can always start introducing the idea to you wife and get her warmed up by telling her that you NEED to buy a PS3 so that she can watch the 90-hour long HD special version box set: "When Oprah Cries". (But whatever you do, for you...

that video rental companies are driving DVD production.

On the other end of the scale, wouldn't you agree that if the studio could cut costs by putting everything on one disc instead of having to span across six, they would? There'd no incentive to them to prefer otherwise.

And don't forget that 24 - along with most other television shows - run approximately 42 minutes per episode, which will account for the majority of a DVD's storage capacity (not taking into ...

I can't remember how many times I've made this misconseption over the years of being an avid computer enthusiast.

Believe it or not, it was not too long ago when others and myself argued that a CD-ROM was absolute overkill for a game. "Why, 3.5" floppies are waaaay more than enough for Wolfenstein, and absolutely adequate for X-Wing".

And then, that little phenomenon called "3D" came along, as well as textures, and cutscenes, etc..

With all due respect, I think DJ may not be too far off from the truth.

For some time, defenders of the HD-DVD camp have been preaching that their media was ultimately significantly cheaper to spit out than Blu-Ray.

However, there was an interesting, thoroughly-written article published on this very website no more than a month ago, which compared the costs of the two.

If I correctly recall, the author (to his surprise as well) found that Blu-Ray d...

It's interesting how, while reading the categories, I'd keep getting a bunch of flashbacks of different games that were just shoe-ins for these descriptions.

I remember that the Wii was all the rage in my household for probably a good month. But then the novelty soon wore off. Therefore, I can empathise with you about being bored of it.

Nevertheless, I can't help but have a soft spot for for the little guy, and I have absolutely no regrets purchasing it.

But lately, I've been using it for nothing more than surfing the net, weather updates, and (yes, I'll admit it!) Your Vote Counts.

That said, the Wii...
