Why?

Why are you here???

No seriously: WHY are you here?

Because I AM curious; I've always found abnormal psychology to be a fascinating field.

This was soooo desperately needed.

I can't count how many times I instinctually accidentally pressed that 'O' button while trying to back up a page while in the store, only to be greeted by a the message requesting confirmation that I'm trying to exit the store.

"how come the sony guys ain't pissed at the price cut"

Easy.

Because that's the price you (always) pay for being an early adopter...especially with electronics. Where is there a hard-and-fast rule written, that dictates the "ideal" amount of time required for a price cut???

Furthermore, production changes (i.e., emitting the Emotion chip (which mine has!), increased laser lens production costs, etc.), and ongoing cheaper hard-d...

could argue that a PS3 price drop doesn't matter?

Next to the just-about-to-be-flooded game drought, the PS3's price sticker is the absolute number-one gripe-factor.

And I can't help but feel that those who generally claim to abhore and despise the PS3, are for some reason either bitter, in denial, and/or simply full of it. Despite what the bashers claim, the PS3 IS in demand.

People DO want it.

And a such a significanly lower pri...

I still vividly remember the the old NES vs. Master System wars. I guess things haven't changed that much.

Admiteddly, I was whole-heartely in the Master System camp. Unfortunately, despite its superior graphics and hardware, it's library ultimately couldn't hold a candle to Nintendo's countless killer games.

Now if only Sega would start owning up by releasing a Virtua Fighter 5 online patch for my PS3.

What a kick in the nuts that feels like.

Tomorrow should prove to be an excellent indicator of PSN's load-bearing realiability. Since the announcement of Home, I've been a little concerned about it's ability to hande the inevitable massive bandwidth requirements.

All in all, rest assurred that I, along with many other pumped up PS3ers here, are gonna be glued.

And don't you guys who have access, forget about G4TV's ongoing live coverage.

(OK, gotta go...time to wheel that second TV besi...

You dare mention God as part of your rant!

Tell me, which God would you be referring to???

...Yeah, I'm sure that God is really, really proud of your condescension, trolling, bashing, negativity, and anal retention towards others, as nothing more than a desperate means to cover your own loneliness and insecurities.

Contradicting ignoramus.

to purchase an Apple product (at least at a price anywhere close to their MSRP), I just get an absolute kick out of their commercials.

Pure marketing genius, IMHO.

Which is really what Apple's all about, isn't it??

Pure marketing.

Waaaay too many superior substitutes (within all product categories) on the market, at waaaay better prices.

...But those commercials...just comical!

how people break out the torches and pitchforks when mentioning the PS3's price (which is arguably an absolute bargain, all things considered), yet don't even flinch to scramble for their wallet to buy the newest item that's got an Apple logo on it.

Seemingly the sky's the limit when it comes to purchasing a ticket to ride Mr. Jobs' Hype Train.

Go figure.

EDIT
@ktchong

Ditto!!!

which is the most outstanding thing about the entire comparison.

One exception is that the PS3 appears to have deeper colour saturation.

Solution:
Crank up the saturation on your XBox 360 TV/monitor...and you've got identical twins.

Fantastic, cool-headed response as usual, Snoop...it's beyond me how you never fail to lose your bearings...although I can't understand what kind of jollies someone would get from needlessly attacking you of all people - quite likely the most diplomatic and unbiased of all members (Neutral Gamer also comes to mind.)

Rest assured that your input is an important part of these threads and is (obviously) appreciated and respected by the majority; pay no attention to all that anger ...

Possible suggestion:

Sacrifice $10-15 and rent both to see which one you prefer?

Otherwise:

A friend on this site who purchased The Darkness, advised that though it is a fun game, I may want to rent it.

In addition, I've read that Darkness story game play will only require 8-10 hours, and multiplayer is nothing to brag about.

On the other hand, R6 Vegas has long been raved for being a fantastic game, as well as a top-n...

Personally, I think it's much more intriguing than the first trailer.

Graphics still come across as top-notch to me.

Note that I'm not a GTA fan (God knows I tried), but this looks more uh, purposeful.

(The background porn-guitar riff was also much appreciated. Rather relaxing and therapeutic.)

Yeah, I saw the PS3 one (some of those guys were actually crying), and heard about the Wii one. (I think the uh, "project"(?) originates right here in Toronto...I think it was at the Eaton Center (or maybe that was that 'Smash my iPod'???)

But you're so right: When I was standing in line for my Wii (ya, so, I admit it...you don't know ME!!!), there wasn't one malicious soul in the entire huge lineup (and there were more teenagers/early adults than there were soccer mo...
