I explicitly remember that they said 'ship', and NOT 'sell' during the presentation, because I remember reflecting on how he was so careful to chose such wording.
Sorry, but don't get too used to it.
I'm sure he'll log on once he comes back from shopping for his new PS3 and finding someone to hook it up to his TV for him. ;)
That chick was like a blind date from Hell. That's supposed to be Nariko's sister??? Wow, talk about getting the short end of the genetic stick.
I never thought I'd say this, but I think her facial expressions were a little too real.
I think I'm gonna have nightmares. ;)
than a direct competitor to MS and Sony.
That's not to say that Nintendo hasn't contributed to stealing their thunder (it's quite arguable that Sony's launch numbers would've been much higher hadn't it been for the Wii's simultaneous launch.)
But I can't help but feel that a healthy chunk of Wii consumers are relatively uninformed parents who find personal appeal to the system, as well as whose intention is to find a suitable game system for their pre-adult child...
Ironically, I thought the WiiFit was by-far the saving grace of their presentation...pure genius, IMHO.
And quite honestly, it's even got me seriously thinking about picking one up. It would be nice to use my Wii for something other than web-surfing (for which is just great, by the way.)
Understatement indeed, my friend!
Damn!...I must've tuned into the wrong show!
so contradicting and paradoxical.
Simply for amusement's sake, think about it for a second: He's urging consumers to buy a Wii before they sell out...but won't complying with Reggie's advice contribute to a Wii shortage in itself??? Furthermore, if it's in as much demand as he claims it is, he wouldn't need to make such a statement.
Just some food for thought.
@SuperSaiyan4
Yeah, you're absolutely right; the PS3 ALWAYS ends up winning out ...
You're really desperately reaching, aren't you?
Hopefully for your sake, you're comment was intended to be sarcastic, and that you really don't have such difficulty taking simple comments literally.
If the author is um, a "delusional Sony fanboy" for paying such a positive (and make no mistake: VALID) comment to Sony, then what does that make you, for trying to split hairs in a futile and unjustifiable effort to belittle Sony?
And by the ...
You took the words right outta my mouth. My ultimate impression with MS was that they were "all smoke, and no fire."
Nintendo was mediocre and too kiddie-centric, in my opinion (although I thought that WiiFit was just absolute genius and a must-buy for me)
).
But Sony...man, they made me want to go out and buy another PS3! Last night, I DL'd a bunch of those trailers from PSN to share my unattainable enthusiasm with my non-gaming wife - primari...
Inappropriate but lol-funny...the heading actually made me do a double-take.
Now uh, shouldn't the contributor retract this story?
Though it's true that the title of "best game" is highly subjective, I couldn't help but feel in absolute awe while watching both in-game (keyword!) footages...it was one of those special moments where you just know you're being witness to something that's groundbreaking and pioneering.
I still can't believe the quality and detail of that MGS scene...the facial expressions were just unreal!
BTW: Consider yourself bubbled.
I was thinking the same thing...(and quite possibly even divorced and abandoned.) ;)
Good point.
...ain't NOBODY keeping me away from lovely Orlando, home of the immortal giant mouse, no matter how annoying and demented they may be! ;)
My sentiments exactly (well sort-of...as per JIN KAZAMA), following the conclusion of that outstanding presentation.
I found it amusing that, following the show, G4TV's commentator noted that MS's Peter Moore boasted yesterday that he was off to watch the Killzone 'video'.
I'll betchya that Moore's nuts are feeling really, really sore this very moment; Sony showed up with those deadly pointy c0ckroach-killer shoes today...complete with sharp spurs 'n all.
After seeing MS's lackluster "all smoke, no fire" presentation last night, and Nintendo's so-so kiddie-break and workout session earlier today, I was a little skeptical (but eager) to see what Sony had to offer.
I think it's needless to say that Sony have indeed brought the goods to the table. Those who've long been demanding games, announcements, exclusives (albeit arguably timed), and ground-breaking in-game razzle-dazzle, have just gotta be quenched after that sho...
Mental note: Keep the Hell away from Miami, Florida.
@BIG49:
I like pasta; I like pizza.
If I had the luxury of only a single long-term choice, however, I'd be compelled to go with the pasta.
Does this mean that I hate pizza? Absolutely not.
Besides, if I DID hate pizza, I'd simply stay away from it...not contribute to some fanboy-like campaign to shut down pizza ovens worldwide.
Although it's OK to have choice or preference, it's just downright silly (and dare I apply your ter...
Taking a peek at Future Shop, one of our major Canadian electronics retailers (now owned by Best Buy, by the way), I'm surprised to see that the price cut is already in effect here (I thought it was supposed to be August???), and it's a price drop of CN$150!

And it looks as if it's well-received: as of the time of this writing, Future Shop's showing only twenty eight(!) online units in stock!
About an hour and a half ago, I was sitting in the hospital's emergency area (nothing serious) browsing this thread with my beloved PSP, and the very split-second I read your sentence: "This will hopefully satisfy all those who has been wanting more RAM for the Web Browser to function better", I was greeted with the infamous 'not enough RAM' error.
Now tell me that ain't a sign to trade up!
