Seems like demand is quite high for this game. This is one of the titles that people bought the PS3 for. The first big hitter on PS3 about to be released. This should give us an indication how the demand for the PS3 will be this generation.
R:FOM was a good game. R2 looks good. R:FOM is the shooter game that I enjoy the most of the PS3 titles.
Minor differences - so the game will be enjoyed on both platforms. Good news.

I liked the first KZ. Still play it on the PS3. Actually like it more than COD4, Army of Two. More or less on par with R:FOM for me. 1st day buy for me.

They are just trying to promise that good looking games will be on the Wii as well... and it should be possible to get good enough looking games. Some PS2 games was amazing, and the Wii should best it. Don't expect KZ2 or Uncharted, but then, it may not be needed to stretch the Wii's lifetime in the market.
If the game looks good - then it is good.
Many of the older games that was thought to be native 720p or 1080p will be proven not to be... on all sides.
Remember - this is about the native rendering - not the output resolution.
And for those who think GT5p is 1080p (inlcuding Mart it seems) - no - it is not 1080p native rendering resolution.
Many devs are still trying to get the hang of working with the PS3 it seems. Uncharted and other games did 72...
The site that gave R:FOM 6/10 gave Haze 6/10.
If Haze is as good as R:FOM, then I will buy it.
Looks like Halo for PS3 more or less. But then... I would prefer Resistance 2. Will have to wait and see how the reviews goes for this one. Never really interested in this game with MGS4 and Killzone 2 on the horizon. With Killzone pushed to 2009, might pick this one up end of the year.

It is cheap, it has great games, vibrant second hand cheap games market, lots of Platinum titles. It outlived consoles that was launched after it (XBox and GameCube), and at this tempo, might even outlive the XB360.
It is a good buy for the bargain market. If they add some motion controller a'la Wii, then this one will be on the market for another 4-5 years. Got the Golf game with the motion controller for PS2 - plays it on the PS3. The one with the ...

They are not losing $260 on every PS3 in terms of hardware. I would guess that they are close to break-even on it at the moment. But growing the industry and the tech takes considerable investment.

PS3 is a cheap high quality Blu Ray player...
XB360 is an expensive low quality DVD player...
When the other company becomes a player in the market, MS tries to sabotage them. Read the Blue Mountain, Quicktime, RealPlayer, Novell, Corel, IBM, DR-DOS stories amongst others.
MS is not competing, they are unfairly using a monopoly on the desktop to take over markets that they covet - and underhand tactics is the order of the day for them

The shops that I visit - used to be very pro XB360, and now they seem to be unsure
Wii is doing well, PS3 is gaining steam, and the XB360 is slipping (to the point where in some shops the smallest section is now the XB360 section)
I am quite sure we can copy two identical video clips and the same "washed out color", "screen tearing on ?console?", "frame rate stutter" will be seen on the competing platform by fanboys.
Seems like they made the two nearly identical. Get over it. Move on.
