If they launched next to the PS3 - they would have lost outright.
For this gen - it worked - they got the early start and early support and early sales. The strategy is now failing - so they will most probably look at early XB720 release to get a 2 year head start this time around. But I think - for this gen it worked - they got the early lead - but the RRoD is getting them, the disk scratching, the same-as-last-gen-just-more strategy leaves them without staying power.

They are jsut trying to get a quick start on the post-Blu Ray market. Formats don't last as long. 200GB drives for Blu Ray - they are looking at the software and format for the next iteration of the format wars...
It is one of the best games I have played. The GetAway 1 was great, Black Monday was OK, graphics was better, but the story was not as good.
Come on Sony... this is one of the reasons why I bought the PS3. Bring it on!

I would like to rather compare new games, not the same game on two platforms where you need to count the frames and pixels and have a number of analyzing tools to tell you which one might technically be better, but only if you really really try to look for it.

The MS PR and FUD is working overtime...
Suddenly the PS3 has not "mindshare", and its relevance is in a FUD spreading way being questioned... while the XB360 is "leading" (from behind actually), and is owning RPG's or something, and apparently "turning the corner"...
Stupid PR people... they must realize that by flooding the media with this sudden campaign they are just making it apparent that it is an orchestrated campaign aimed at spr...

So regardless of your promises to find reviews and stuff... there is so many sudden appearance of XB360-friendly articles that it is clear that MS is now in desperation mode... they know they are losing... and there answer is rebuttals, FUD and hype...

Fact is - whatever the tick box is that you check to prove that the XB360 is "best" - it is dead last, and will fall behind more this year...
XB360 is last in sales, hardware and software, has weak lineup compared to PS3 for 2008... and suddenly articles come to state that the PS3 might be ahead in sales, but does not get the "mindshare" whatever the hell that might mean, that the XB360 is leading in sales (another really sad article with disregard for current stats), and this one trying to create the impression that the XB360 is "taking control of the RPG"...

They could just as well have said that the Dreamcast is winning this gen...

When CD's was dominant, DVD's was the next optical media. Now DVD is dominant, BR is the next in optical media. Done deal. Move along. Nothing new to be analyzed.
Not that it is very innovative...
You just have the screen in a flat position, have more than one input device... and there you have it. But I can think of many applications that would love this. Heck - imagine playing something like Age of Empires - the interface will be totally different... but could be very cool. Like the DS... have one screen as the input device - and have a second for the game itself...
Can scarcely believe the amount of RRoD and unhappy repair endings for so many machines...
MS made certain the XB720 will have a tough challenge to build a good name for the XBox. XB360 seems to be the worst quality console ever build. The number of broken consoles is simply amazing... PR nightmare how to cope with a situation like this...
Pretty soon they will be blamed even if they are right... if it is not already the case...

Music, sound FX, graphics is great...
Very good game... only an hour or so into the game... but it is a solid game so far. Smooth framerate... no screen tearing, slowdown... can hardly believe it is an EA title...
MS has a shortage of credibility at the moment.
