How many more times are we going to read the same comments from exactly the same analysts?

I've got a PS3 and I'm happy about Blu ray, but I really only needed this news once.

Theres nothing wrong with this article, and much as I look down on 'the sun' its a fair reflection of how your average UK punter thinks of things. You don't get to remain a coutries most popular newspaper for a generation without being 'in touch' with Mr and Mrs avaerage.

2007 WAS a brilliant year for 360 gamers- no one can deny that some of the best games ever were released on that format last year. Though I accept that the line up for this year looks weaker than the competiti...

Theres no question this is a bad story and should not have been approved with such a 'made up' title. Its not the title of the story at all - which is a fine story. It's simply created to encourage flame -as if there wasn't enough of this on this site!

The actual report states an anylst 'would imagine there was some incentive' - yet this gets reported as fact? Why can't people who find a perfectly valid story to share, simply share it with us without resorting to these kind of ...

You can't be a Sould Calibur fan and not get a shudder of excitement when Darth and Yoda suddenly appear...

..as for the big bouncy breats - I do hope they tone it down. Its one of the reasons I don't play DOA despite it being a good game. There's nothing makes you feel more like a computer nerd than sitting in front of pathetically exagerated unrealistically moving pixelated breasts....

This had better be very cheap to be tempting!! :)

They made the decision some time ago. Sales were an issue for PS3 when this game was first planned, and the install base in NA made the 360 look like a great proposition for actually selling a few titles.
I have to say, a six axis controlled version would indeed be amazing, but maybe that come will come in the future? For now, I'll use my 360 for my Katamari fix and count myself lucky!

Though not to everyones tastes, I love the camp madness of the katamari games, and will be picking this one up as soon as I'm able to!

I'm still convinced the King is voiced by the guy who did 'big gay al' in SouthPark :)

Brilliant!!! This little gem was absolutely amazing, and A HD version of this for all the people who never got to play it before, will be awesome!

I can't dipsute your own tastes, but I tend to favour my PS3 at the moment, and have always favoured the controller. Maybe its because I often play when my wife goes to bed and have to keep the volume down - in that situation the racket my 360 makes is a bit intrusive! :)

Still, the biggest factor is simply what games the machine has, when Bioshock and Mass Effect and Halo were released I was playing 360 mainly. When Ratchet and Drake Fortunes were released it was mainly PS3. I...

Have to agree. I've never got on with marketing, but I've met Phil Harrison several times, and well before he rose to his current 'lofty position'. He was a nice a bloke and genuinely commited to games.

Still waiting for this in the UK! It does look fun:)

Well I have to agree with you.
I still own both systems and will continue to do so - I've loved many of the titles on 360 this year, there's been so many good ones! Some of the best games ever! But, countrary to bleating MS fans like the poster above though, I've also loved many of the games on the PS3 too (Warhawk, Ratchet, Resistance, Folklore, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Super Stardust, Ninja Gaiden Sigma and many more.) I have played it at least as much as if not more than, my 360.

Its no suprise. Your general consumer has no 'aliegence' and doesn't care about formats - they just want to buy their HD movies and watch them at home. For them, its a real pain having to change the system they've just bought, but my heart really goes out to those who have had it for some time and have bought lots of software. No way back for those guys and they are faced with buying another system if they wish to purchase HD movies in the future.
Thats the problem wiht ANY war, there ...

Yet another insulting, arrogant and purile post - once again you prove yourself to to have all the personal intergrity and intelligence of an ant.

It's obviously imposible to get it through to an intelect such as yours, that a business is only profitable when it has made money OVERALL. If I were in buisness for a year, and had made a loss for 364 of those days, I cannot claim the buisness is profitable if I make a single profit on day 365. Thats just ...

Excellent article that trully points out the folly in people saying DD will take over in the near future.

The infrastructure to support large scale HD content is simply not going to be available in the near or medium future. There may be a tiny percentage of locations that will be able to support delivery of serious HD media, but they are going to be a statistically insignificant part of the media buying public for some time

Of course at some time in the future, ...

I read this item with anticpiation, but I already have these packs as they've been available in the UK for a while now.

This game is obviously one that polarises opinions. Its not made like other titles, and its got elements that some will dispise for sure. But its a great example of games that I think Sony does well, and why I feel the need to own a PS3 AS WELL as a 360. Maybe 33% of all people looking at this game will hate it, but for those that love it, it's as brilliant as...

I have this title on the 360 and it didn't exactly blow my socks off.

Unless the guy has swapped the pictures around, his perception seems incredably screwed though, as I think the PS3 pictures look better in every single shot - in as much as you can tell from this kind of svreen grab, Maybe a 'web journalist' has better taste than me - but I have been a digital artist and animator making video games for over 15 years, and my 'assesment has been good enough for most of the majo...

You can't argue with the figures - porn sells LOTS and LOTS.
I don't spend my hard earned on it either, but lots of people do, and so, being the extremely large buisness it is, its important to a formats sucess.

Theres only one stupidity on display here, and its reflected in people who don't understand accounting - thats you.

MS games division posted an operating profit for the first quarter of this fiscal year for the first time ever. This is true. Their first ever reported profit of $165 million.
The previous fiscal year was a $1.89bn operating loss. The year before was $1.28bn operating loss. So how can you say the gaming divison is making any mone...
