Apple TV is not even in the same market as Blu ray discs.
ITs simply not a true high definition servcie and there is no mention of high definition anywhere in the article - and the whole point of blu ray is 1080P output, otherwise we'd all stick with DVD's.
Apple TV is taking on the normal dvd market. Even there, I think its in for a struggle as its expensive and the infrastructure that makes it a 'couple of clicks' is simply not in place in much of the world.
Sounds like the 'new features' are not too special.
However, it would appear the arcade levesl are near perfect and intact. Thats good enough for me - time crisis was always an arcade shooter par excellence, and as long as the arcade experience is intact I'm in. Cheesy and loud? You bet. Waste of money? Probably, but its my money to waste, and there will be other Guncon games...:)

Anyone wishing to have 1080P high qulaity movie playback with uncompressed sound, will either buy a stand alone blu ray box or invest in a PS3 which is cost effective and plays some good games too.
For those not so bothered with issues of quality, the download service for SD and compressed 720P material may suffice in those areas of the world with resonably fast internet and no us...
Surely the whole point of a comparison video is to show how good each game can look? The forum also sheds light on the fact that videos from the different formats are compresed seperately - with what looks like different settings, before they are then editted together and recompressed for the web.
This clearly means that when you are watching a split screen, you can have more video artifacts on one side of the comaparison than on the other.

While animations are never perfect, this tile is fluid and about as good as I've ever seen realised in a game. I say this as digital games artist working in the industry for 15 years. I've been lead animator on several very well known titles and formats including titles from Sony and Microsoft. Of course, I'm huge game fan too!
Wow. I really feel sorry for those anticpating this game, as I know its really popular and its taken for ever to get released. Lets face it, theres no many games for core gamers, so this title is badly needed!

Well there's no suprises here. Now that the PS3 has picked up in sales and surpassed the kind of dismal predictions that keyboard warriors were predicting, its a platform worth developing for.
It would make more sense to simply start a PS3 version of their new game, so I'd be suprised if they do a port of the original Bioshock. Having already played it, loved it and completed it on the 360, I'd certianly prefer it to be a new project for their first PS3 release!

Like it or loath it DW is an important PS3 franchise that shifted a huge amount of units at Jap release and has a huge amount of support in the west too. Its was an extremely important release in its home market and was very well recieved.
