His points are exactly why I stopped PC gaming. More often than not, you have to jump through hoops to get games to run. Patches, drivers, settings, quirky controller support, etc....

It just seemed like a constant rat race to keep up with the hardware to play that newest technical achievement of a game. Then, when you finally had the hardware in place to play it, you hoped and prayed that when you threw the game in... that you could play it without pulling your hair out with...

I dont understamd Sonys lack of enthusiasm about the Vita. Its still the most powerful handheld on the market. They need to get out and get some major third party support. Instead of lowering the price of the PS4, package in a Vita with every console at $399. Make a bunch of killer first party titles for it from proven franchises. It seems a perfect platform to breed and improve upon the Knack series. Get the entire Resistance collection ported, along with games like Ratchet & Clank and C...

Im kind of torn. It sounds like it could be a cool change of pace, being New Orleans, but the city isnt really all that interesting. I would have much rather seen a New Jersey/ New York combo, Detroit, Vegas(which was really coming into its own in the 60s) or a fully realized Hollywood that mimicked its goings ons at the time. With a new generation of hardware, the developers have the ability to add moments in time that mimick day and date occurrences. We could be riding along and realize tha...

Ill take it! Bring it to consoles. Ive been wanting a game like Freespace for ages. This looks like it could fit the bill. Definitely supporting this project. You can too:

Good. I played the alpha and beta and a full day/ night cycle wasnt part of the package. I just bought the full game a few weeks ago when it was on sale and love night racing. As you said, hopefully it was given some love like the rest of the game. Im in awe of the developers tenacity in bringing new life to an older title like this. The work it must've took to go in and rework the entire graphics engine had to have been immense. The fact they are giving it away for free shows their conti...

Looks incredible. I wish they would add full day to night cycle. Im not sure if they changed that since the last time I played, but I remember it only went from morning to early evening, but we never saw true nighttime driving. Its been a long time since Ive played, so if Im wrong about this, please enlighten me.

Other than that, the game looks incredible. I cant believe they went back and pushed the visuals and effects to this level. Especially with the size of the game worl...

I agree about the resolution, doesnt make sense as decent 2000 lumen 1080p projectors can be had for $300-$400. So, unless this releases at $100 - $150... there are better options at full HD.

Its a cool idea, but not well thought out by the suits at Sony. You want your system and games to look their best, cutting resolution isnt a way to do that. Though, if they had built the Playstation TV into it, it would make perfect sense... Then you could take it anywhere with you and s...

This video sold the game to me. I had zero interest before it, though it looks like it combines every genre of game I love... including car combat.

Cant wait to play this! Thank you for posting it.

I'd be cool with this, as I only played the original for a little bit and never got a chance to go back and finish it. So this would be a godsend bringing it into the new generation of consoles.

The biggest addition, in my opinion, is the no loading between entrances. That has been very irritating for far too long, with no excuse for it not being implemented last gen. I also like the limited number of reversals, it keeps both online and offline matches from being ridiculously tedious, with reversal after reversal ruining match flow.

The 120 man roster is also huge. Hopefully giving us a healthy dose of both modern and past WWE/ WWF superstars. The build an arena mode...

The reason they are going this avenue, is they want to experiment with episodic expansions that are based around fanfare. Where do you want to go next? Paris? Japan? Kentucky? Allowing gamers to interact with the development of the game and choose locations and missions based around what they want to do. This isnt a money milking back door sneak to get more money for less game.

This is why Im excited about the possibilities of the eposidic nature of the game... When if the ce...

Since when is a game that sold millions of copies and was well recieved by gamers and many reviewers... a failure? People have to stop reading and giving these clickbait sites and articles the attention they crave. Its the only way to stop this grocery store tabloid "reporting".

Been wanting to get an Xbox One to go along with the PS4. This would make it a blessing.

Nowhere in any of the articles does it say that the CPU is locked at 1.6Ghz, just that it is the base fequency. My guess is, the memory controller was made to support the maximum CPU clock, to eliminate bottlenecks, if the CPU was one day unlocked. Which makes perfect sense. Though I think Sony, in their internal testing, wanted to avoid any fumbles in system reliability. Especially with the bad taste of the red ring of death looming in peoples mouths from last gen.

The Xbox One...

I'm interested to know if Sony is allowing some(or all) developers to scale CPU speeds, for an extra kick when they need it. I remember them saying that the CPU is scalable to 2.75ghz, but runs at 1.6 due to heat concerns. Though, I dont know if its locked or developers have access to change it, either permanently for their game or dynamically when they need a boost to keep framerates stable.

Id be interested to know if this is the case.

This is the first golf game I bought and have been excited about in a long time. Not since the 3DO have I been looking forward to a golf game this much. If you watch the videos, the environments now feel alive. With birds flying around, squirells wandering, clouds moving, trees and grass swaying. It makes me very excited to see and play the Hawaiian courses and Northeastern courses in the fall.

The focus on current gen systems has finally brought this game into the next gene...

Agreed. Though, Ubisoft seems to be leading the pack, with a string of misfortunes dating back to Call Of Duty 2, when they were sued by the European Union for false advertising when a commercial claimed that the CGI footage shown was in game. Then came issues with Far Cry and Far Cry 2, where save files mysteriously disappeared after 20+ hours of gameplay and many other glitches forced gamers to start questioning their ethics. Lets not pretend that this is something new for Ubisoft, as they...

No, what they did was lay a solid foundation on which to build the future franchise from. The game was good and was fun. It just didnt meet the graphical expectations set by a target render video. Now, that they have the code there for the next iteration, and the knowledge of a few next gen games behind them... I can only imagine the future is pretty bright for the franchise.

They just need to keep the publics expectations in check and not promise what they cant achieve. If t...
