This game is going to be a blast. What I would love to know is how many buildings are open for the player to wander into and around? Can we go anywhere? If we can hack the way they say we can, then couldn't the player hack into police files to eliminate any records of his existence and couldn't the player hack into TV stations to keep broadcasts from going out about them?

Oh come on, anyone would have to admit this is cool. I game exclusively on consoles, but admit myself that this is very cool. Just the field of view alone would be worth it. If I could connect 3 PS4s together to do this, I would. Can you imagine 3 60" TVs connected together, to do this? It would be amazing.
I totally disagree with the article. He failed to recognize that quite a few of the crossgenerational games he complains about were developed from the PC down, ensuring the best gameplay for each of the systems involved. The next-generation experience will be intact for the games that he complained about because they are taking the lead from the most powerful hardware.

I hope that's the current GEN version and not the next-generation version. Because it looks really bad if its the later. I just can't get into these types of games anymore. I think the whole horror thing is better represented in first person, that way things are right in your face. Control mechanics are always wanky with a game like this in third person.

This is the first direct feed truly next GEN footage I've seen of the PlayStation 4 version. The other versions were offscreen or the video was captured so horribly, it really was detrimental to the game. It looks really good. I'm still concerned that it will not be running at 1080P. I hope that it does, because it means the world for me gaming on my 120 inch screen and projector. And, I imagine it would be the same for anybody with a TV over 50 inches.

Sony needs to start shoveling some money out to get these developers to change their minds about gimping the PS4 version in lieu of the Xbox Ones driver issues.
I find it incredibly irritating and mind blowing that any one company would gimp a version of the game just to satisfy a manufacture of another system because they can't get their crap together with their driver implementation.
I don't troll, if you actually read the review you would see what I was talking about. Bad grammar, horrible insight into the game and very little information to make people want to play and buy it. Which is exactly what a review is supposed to do.

They just lost a sale from me. It is totally ridiculous that they cannot get this game running at 1080P and 30 frames per second on the next GEN systems, when GTA 5 looks almost as good and is running on current GEN systems at 720p and 30 frames per second.
It's a total lazy copout. I knew the game wasn't running at 1080P when I saw the newest videos. The textures look muddy and there is aliasing and the vsync issues.

I agree wholeheartedly with you. Mirrors Edge is a perfect example of this statement. Though I, and I'm sure most fans of the series, are terrified they are going to screw up the second one by introducing gameplay elements that people do not want. The first one was one of the most original titles I've ever played.

I'm all about retro 70s and 80s stuff, but how many versions of this do we need? It has been released for every platform known to man, even smart phones and the Vita. What I would like to know, is if I bought tables on the vita version… Will they transfer over to the PS4 version? Or do I have to rebuy them? This game looks incredible. I cannot wait to play it. I wonder if any of the PlayStation 3 or PC USB flight sticks will work for this with force feedback? I would love to play this with a true flight stick with force feedback. With Nextgen visuals, it would bring this game to life. Being able to feel the bullets hit and the pull and drag of the aircraft in the force feedback... It would be awesome.

The fact is, Sony made the controller bigger as to the preference of professional gamers. I believe it doesn't matter where you set the sticks at, as long as they are comfortable for long-term use. Obviously if they sent the sticks out to major first-person shooter developers and they gave their seal of approval, then they must be comfortable over long periods of play.
