Sounds awesome. Games like Just Cause 3, that have known issues hitting and keeping their target framerates, will finally run at a more constant clip. Be nice not to see the teen dips when things get crazy, in Just Cause 3.
While I have no doubt that the Switch will be highly successful, I dont think it will lure either of them to rhe handheld market. If anything, Switch's success will just motivate, at least Sony, to flesh out Remote Play and bring it to more devices. In many ways, remote play is much better than the Switch. You already have a huge library of games to play and in higher resolutions and framerates. You can already plug your DualShock 4 controller into your Android phone and use it the same a...
If we cant have Burnout, this is the next best thing. I actually think this game is better in some ways, as its mini games are incredibly fun. Especially in couch co-op and online multiplayer. The physics have always been the star of the show with this series and Im hoping that continues with this game. Cant wait until March!
Im a PS4 Pro gamer and still think this is great news. The flight combat genre has been sorely lacking over the past 10+ years... the more people that buy and play this game, the better chance we have for more flight combat games. Ill give up exclusivity for that any day!
The day this game releases, is the day I buy a PSVR. This is my dream game for VR and has been a dream of mine since the first time I played Air Combat(Ace Combat 1)... and damn, does it look good.
I was just thinking of this the other day. Generally when Sony goes radio silent on something that they put their heart and soul into advertising, it isnt good news. I love their products, but it seems when they release something and it immediately doesnt hit their sales goals... they dont try new strategies in advertising or game design, they just drop the mic and walk away. Im hoping this isnt the case with their first foray into the VR market. As I think they could be on to something. The ...
Hell yes! This game already looks phenomenal at 1440p, this just adds icing to the cake. God bless dev teams like this, who long after their games launch... take so much pride in making sure its tech competes with the best of the newest games on the market. 99% of dev teams and publishers out there, wouldve moved on and not cared.
If you havent bought and enjoyed this game, I beg you to do so. It gives you true freedom in how you want to play and its visuals are second to n...
A lot of people hate the idea of Indie titles, but I love it. The fact is, they are the main source of originality in gaming anymore. Indie devs take chances, because they can, and a lot of their ideas are then copied and pasted by AAA studios. Sony is very smart in going after these studios, as it provides them with exclusive first party status with dozens of studios, without the overhead.
Some of these Indie titles look and play better than AAA. Cant wait to see what come...
When does this release?
I understand where BadFly is coming from. More often than not, these Indie studios are held up to AAA standards. When every game you make, may mean your company and employees livelihood, every review matters. The game is actually very well done. I would say that the visuals are on par with most modern shooters and the gameplay reminds me of Doom and Killing Floor, wit some RPG elements thrown in. Fun, arcade style, mindless shooting of very cool looking enemies. Truthfully, beyond the voice a...
I hope so, because this is the second week in a row with almost nothing decent on sale. Very depressing. ;)
This is exactly what I was thinking.
Thats nuts. Though, I understand why. Between the great single player, which can last as long as you want it to and the endless multiplayer with infinite updates... If you could only have one game, this would definitely be it. Im hoping we get a PS4 Pro update to make it even better. HDR would be awesome also.
Its no wonder they arent working on GTA VI. They should just add an airport and a new city and make the game eposidic, like Hitman. Take each episode to a new city wi...
Truthfully, I think that is where a lot of people stand. Though, if you have a 4K TV or want a better looking 1080p game, it is definitely worth the money. It really does help bring out the best of the games with patches. A glimpse into the future or gaming, if you own a UHD TV, a boost in framerate and supersampling(see, very few jaggies and no shimmering) with some games also offering better draw distance, more detail and better single player framerates(60fps over 30fps in some cases), if y...
This opinion piece is clickbait. The author has no facts as to the real sellthrough numbers and is only speculating. On top of that, he is comparing the launch of the Pro to the launch of the PS4, which you cannot do, as it isnt a next generation system launch... only a mid gen refresh, meant to give techies an upgrade if they want or to give new current gen system buyers a more powerful spec, especially if the own a 4K TV.
The Pro is an option, not a replacement. If it wer...
I truly wish there was a universal(consoles/ PC) smellovision machine that had dozens of scents that it could pick and choose from and even mix to represent the smells in an entire scene. It would be very cool to help with immersion in games. I know a few companies have talked about the tech and some even prototyped it, but I dont think any have ever come to market.
Every year Im at Disney and Universal and hit their 3D attractions that include smell, I think of this.
I think the issue isnt with the journalists, but with the games. We are truly playing the exact same games we were 20 years ago with a next generation sheen. Nothing has changed in the way we play them. We are still just shooting enemies in the face. No physics, no difference. The only thing that has changed in 20 years, is the graphics and systems we play on.
I think a lot of journalists are just calling it as they see it and I agree that they are bored. There are less and...
Ive been waiting for this. Cant wait to dig into the game for the first time. Im hoping they do the same for Black Flag. I cant imagine how good that game would look wit both 4K and HDR in tow. The colors already pop in it, HDR would make it look even better with details in both light and dark areas, along with the extra brightness.
Im loving the Pros early glimpse into the next generation of gaming.
Horrible week for PS4 sales. Im hoping that there is a flash sale on its way to compensate.
I played this game for 100+ hours before the boost and about 5 after and the difference is very noticeable during gameplay. The framerate is much smoother, especially when driving and the draw in of cars, pedestrians, etc has been pushed out to the horizon. Many are reporting faster load times, which is what Im attributing the draw distance boost to(via faster harddrive streaming)... though, the Pro does have access to an extra 512MB of RAM, so maybe that is it. Im not sure how much of this g...
