I like the open living world aspect of the game. While I dont like the idea of killing animals myself, I love these games simply due to the exploration of the landscape and admiration of the wildlife. Sort of a wildlife documentary of sorts. I cant wait to play this game.

FYI... You cant show off the gameplay in a racing game, when you are wrecking every two seconds. Take your finger off of the gas... this isnt Daytona USA. Rally driving takes finesse by learning to feather the gas and break, to achieve the fastest times. You cannot keep the pedal slammed to the floor and expect to be able to corner. You will wreck every time.

The game looks good, though your video makes me(and probably the rest of the world) think that there is something ho...

I am psyched for this game! One of the only games that makes me want to play multiplayer, especially now that they added a Full Auto like Assault Mode with weapons... which should make playing with the physics, nuts. Comes out tomorrow and I cant wait to play it!

Its good to hear, though if it was stuck in dev hell when they left, I cant imagine it fairing any better now. Generally, if those that started making the game were having issues with their vision... those who take over will have their own and the two combined rarely mesh.

Im hoping for the best, but expecting the worst. Sumo Digital is a decent studio, but they have a lot on their plate right now with This, Crackdown 3 and Hitman. With my guess being Dead Island 2 is on th...

I still thought Dead Island 2 was being worked on and Im sad its not. From the videos and pictures, it looked incredible. Ill never get how a game falls into development hell. If you have a vision, you stick to it and see it through to the end. I liked the open world suburban set that the game took place in. It was everytown USA and felt real, even if it had that slight push towards cel shading.

I hate that it seems all games tend to stay away from the suburban setting. GTA...

When I saw it got Pro support and high resolution textures, I went back and fired it up. With all of that and HDR in tow... it looks incredible! Some of the best lighting in any game. The changes they have made have definitely made the game much better. I like being able to scan planets and see what resources are on them, before you fly to them. I also dig the more lively planets with multiple biomes. It allows for an Earth-like atmosphere, where you can see a desert, then mountains and lakes...

Well, the good thing is, the system has a lot of hardware and software tricks for developers to dig into. Of course, it's going to take a first party developer to do that… third-party developers just don't have the time, because they are developing for multiple platforms. Though, once Sony does harness the power, hopefully they will share their findings with third-party developers so they can pass it along and get the best out of the system. Sony is usually pretty good at passing info...

Does anyone else wish they would make a end user level creator, using these tools? So that gamers could make their own stories and worlds? The only thing I could think while I was watching this video was "I want to play and create with these tools".

Hard to tell any difference, because the weather conditions dont match. Though, it looks like some post processing effects may have been traded for a much further draw distance. Though, because we dont know what we are looking at with the 2015 footage(PC, Pro, etc...) and with weather and lighting conditions not a 1:1 match, its hard to say. What we do know is that draw distance was extended and some things seem as if theyve gotten sharper since the 2015 unveil.

This video,...

Im not sure what you were playing, but I had a blast with the beta and it was bug free. So much so, that with Horizon: Zero Dawn sitting here on my harddrive... all I could think about was playing Wildlands. Something that hasnt happened since the Red Faction: Guerilla demo on the Xbox 360.

The game isnt really groundbreaking gameplay-wise, though the visuals... at least on the PS4 Pro, were incredible! Especially the HDR implementation. But, the AI is really well done, whi...

43GB. Cant wait to play it! The beta was incredible and, even with Horizon sitting here on my harddrive, all I can think about is playing Wildlands. Tuesday cant come fast enough!

Im waiting until this question is answered to buy one. The idea behind it is my dream for gamng, but I need to see more full games and not tech demos. Resident Evil VII was a great start. Ace Combat 7, I thought was going to be fully playable via VR... but, thats not the case... which pisses me off, because the flight combat genre is perfect for VR and AC7 alone wouldve been reason for me to buy one. Farpoint looks like it may be good and bring other FPSs PSVRs way, with the gun controller. B...

We haven't seen a Baja game in a while and as long as they go back and do the work for a true remaster, Im in. It looks like it could be a blast with couch co-op and online and this is one of those games that should be able to do native 4K/ 60 on the Pro and HDR would be very cool to implement for all systems(PS4 Pro Native 4K has been announced).

I like that it is open world with a bunch of different environments and over 1000 miles of track. I would love to see a trac...

I was hoping for a 1440p/ HDR update for the Pro, but I guess thats never coming. The game would look eve more incredible with it.

3394d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

You are very wrong about that. I bought a PS4 at launch and it was great, but the Pro is in a league of its own. Once you see a game running in even 1440p, your jaw drops, especially if HDR is enabled. Though, when you see a game at 4K(checkerboard or native)... its like a new generation of gaming hit early. Horizon isnt simply a resolution upgrade, it is one of the first games to fully utilize the Pros hardware from the ground, up. Even Hitman took advantage of the hardware va a patch and ad...

This is one of my favorite games, so far, this generation. I love the freedom in how you can take on missions and the episodic nature of the title just lends itself perfectly to the game. The latest Pro patch gave us HDR on top of the resolution bump, and it looks incredible.

Cant wait to see where Season 2 takes us. Im hoping we see New York City, England, Japan, Hawaii and Orlando or Miami... to name a few.

Im a PS4 Pro owner and can see this is BS. If a third party is supporting the Pro with patches and games, then more than likely they will do the same for the Scorpio. Though, not all, as the hardware is different... so it will take them adding a forth of fifth system(Xbox One, PS4, PC, Pro and Scorpio) to their development cycle. Hopefully games are as easily upgraded, as they are with the Pro. Though, like the Pro, support will vary from game to game, developer to developer. I wouldnt worry ...

Agreed. Though, I wish the article wouldve went more in depth. I want to know exactly how they took advantage of the extra hardware in the Pro. What effects are increased? Higher draw distance? Etc....

This game is a generational leap. Only the third real leap weve seen this gen. Uncharted 4 was the first, For Honor and now Horizon. Next up is Ghost Recon Wildlands. Ive been playing it via the beta and it is nuts how good it looks and how far the draw distance extends. The ...

Truthfully, I think this is the way a game at DLC should be made. Instead of coming out with a new game every year, why not just update the one that's already there and make it better with more features, cars, tracks and you can even upgrade the textures and overall graphics if you want. I'm not a NASCAR fan and I really don't buy this game, but I appreciate them making the following year's game into a patch instead of a full fledged retail release.

Every s...
