While I agree that marketing could be better, this could be said across the board for all console manufacturers. The problem is, games are getting more complex to make… and it's not going to get any easier as generations come and go. I think waiting until you know when a game is going to be done, maybe six months out, is probably the best way to go. That way you know you have the best looking footage that you can get people excited about, that footage is in game and not pre-rendered, an...
In No Mans Skys case gamers were told exactly what to expect, but some gamers decided to make up their own minds as to what the game was going to be, regardless of what the developer said. Everything that they said was in the game is in the game, but because it doesn't slap people in the face in the first hour or two of playing… People will just claim it's missing.
The game has a near infinite universe to explore. All of what there is to see is not going to be on an...
I've been doing this since day one. All you do is point your ship nose towards the planet and hit your thruster or brake. You can fly as high or low as you want to, without a mod to do so.
Very cool tech, but was hoping for a developer interview on how they implemented these technologies and why. I just love to know why they choose certain technologies and how they work. Love gamingbolt and the work they do to bring us these videos.
Clickbait Title. Just two guys discussing the possibility of Sony upping the specs, but with no actual substance or proof.
I agree that Im tired of games being half baked and in beta form when they release, just to get a patch on Day 1 to bring them up to playable, then more patches to make them run acceptably, not exceptionally.
Im glad Sony is putting their foot down and making developers release games that are done. Its the difference between having a good experience the first time you play... or being a tester for the game developer and living through patch after patch until the game is pla...
EA is misunderstanding why these mid generation refreshes are happening. It isn't because Sony or Microsoft want to upgrade the power of the systems, it's because AMD is discontinuing the lines that make the processors for both of these consoles and the only way for Microsoft or Sony to keep those lines open and continue making the current processors, is to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars a month, which would negate the ability to lower the price of the systems. So, in order for ...
Wow! If FFXV and DMC had a love child, this would be it. Looks incredible! Lets cross our fingers it makes its way to consoles. Id lve to play it!
The amount of ignorance in this thread is mind blowing. The haters not knowing the difference between stylized visuals and "graphics". On top of that, basing their graphics hatred towards the game on a 360p compressed video posted on YouTube. Yes, the video was 360p. Everyone who actually has played it said the same thing... The graphics are not Uncharted 4 level, but everything is sharp and moves at a constantly locked 60fps. No matter how much is on the screen and how much is goin...
Is this going to be a launch title for PSVR? I would love at least one or two full fledged games(not 10-15 minute experiences) to come out at launch with it. Ive had mine preordered since they first went on sale and am relieved to see some FPSs and horror games coming. Cant wait to see some gameplay, and get a release date, for Ace Combat 7 also. Between this, RE7 and AC7... VR is looking better every day.
Atari 2600 for me. Nothing like getting up on Christmas morning as a child and being able to play my arcade favorites from the comfort of my own home. I still have pictures of my high scores on it. Great system and great times!
CDPR, add this via patch to the console versions and I will play for another 200+ hours.
I loved this game when it came out. Its why I bought an Xbox 360. I am crossing my fingers that this gets a proper remaster that takes advantage of the hardware and adds some more content. It deserves it, as it still remains one of my favorite games of all time.
Its absolutely disgusting to me that this game has only moved 250,000 copies out of the 40 million plus that own a PS4. This game is the perfect mix of Bioshock and Resident Evil, with incredible visuals and fun gameplay. If you dont buy it at $7 and some change, you will be missing out on one of the best deals and games, this generation.
To me, photorealism isnt the issue. Its implementing real world lighting, physics and behavior paterns that is the true hurdle we need to leap. They can make games look close to real today, but the disconnect comes in AI behavior, (what pretty much amounts to) a total lack of physics and pre-baked lighting.
What I dont understand is, Red Faction: Guerilla did physics damn near perfect... which changed the way we could play the game by giving players unlimited options on how...
This isnt just Warner Bros., every mainstream developer has been doing this since the Atari era. The funny thing is, regardless what the FTC finds... these companies are always one step ahead of them. Having employees create shell companies whos only purpose is to funnel laundered money to these websites, in order to pad reviews without the FTCs required "notification" to consumers.
Ive said this for many years... If you want a true opinion of a game before you bu...
The problem with this story is Im not sure the author was around or paid attention to prior generations. When it was announced that the Xbox would support widescreen 16:9, gamers went out and bought widescreen TVs... When the Xbox 360/ PS3 were announced and released at 720p, people went out and bought HDTVs. In fact, I believe it was gamers alone that made the biggest push for widescreen, then HD tech. Guaranteed, when these new systems release... a lot of gamers will runout and buy 4K TVs. ...
Am I the only one who sat for 15 minutes at the beginning of the first game and waited for something to happen thinking that the cut scene had frozen, because the graphics in the water with the fire around you looked so real?
These are some of my favorite games and I cannot wait to play them in all of their current generation glory.
I agree. While some may have an attitude about a mid gen refresh... I love the idea of having that choice and the graphical upgrade it brings. I dont have a 4K TV(Ive been gaming via a 120" screen since the PS2 era and until Texas Instruments releases a one chip 4K solution, so Optoma can bring out a bright 4K projector...), but may get one for the Neo if Optoma doesnt show and release a 4K projector this year. Ive seen games in 4K with HDR and mindblowing is putting it lightly. If devel...
I'm still playing it after 100+ hours. Spent the first 30+ on my first starting planet. Could it use more gameplay features? Of course, you could say the same about any game. Every game has some gameplay loop. I think this game is a good start, kind of like Driveclub. If they continue to pump out updates and gameplay features, this could be one of the best games ever made. I think they have to add stories, which could be endless… Missions are a must. Upgrading ship parts, I think wou...
