Glad to see a resurgence of Western games. Not since Gun, Call Of Juarez, Strangers Wrath and Red Dead Revolver have there been multiple games hit the market that pushed the old west, together.
Gun is still one of my favorite games. Cant wait to play Far Cry 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, hopefully, this fall.
Looking at other videos on the site, it seems that it will release in Japan with English subtitles. This may be the first game Ive ever imported(at least, via the Japanese Playstation Store).
This looks so awesome. Unfortunately, it will probably be a year after its release in Japan until we see it here. If at all. Not sure how the last games performed saleswise, last time out. I love them though, they mix that 80s arcade feel with modern tech. This looks like the engine finally got updated with new lighting, speedtree and possibly physically based rendering.
I have to agree with everyone here. I am and have always been a single player guy and applaud any company who makes that a priority over the status quo. This mindset of make multiplayer great, then tack on single player, is killing gaming for me and all gamers should be worried. Not just for the sake of single player, but the future of game prices. Which is increasingly becoming a service, as opposed to a purchase.
I understand it from a business perspective, as game budget...
I wish all games would have field of view sliders. I love cranking them up to max, so it gives me a simulated peripheral vision.
I hope you're right, as I dont think I ever played it and I loved and still love the 3DO. Twisted is still my favorite party game of all time.
One, I cant believe its been 25 years... Two... How? When it was recorded in such low quality in the first place. It didn't sell well back in the day, not sure if it has an audience to support a rerelease.
If so, all the power to them. Ill be interested to see if this somehow brings back a resurgence of FMV games.
The developer has stated for the last year that they were focusing on single player and that multiplayer would be added post launch. They wanted single player to be the focus and multiplayer to be shaped by those that love it. That way, both single and multiplayer are the best that they can be with no compromises for either. I think its a bold move and reassures those that love single player, that it isnt just a tacked on afterthought with mindless bots instead of truly tactical AI.

I was commending the Scorpio, while still remaining unbiased. You just made it abundantly obvious who "you guys" actually are.
Great article that hits the nail on the head. Though, the real difference will come from the extra memory in the Scorpio. Around 8GB of which can be used for higher resolution textures, compared to the Pros 5.5GBs that is usable by developers. Though, its up to developers to use that extra memory and power. Which most third parties will probably go the way of the Pro and offer just resolution boosts, with extra fps from the better CPU.
Overall, the Scorpio will be the more ...
Hes absolutely right. Its exactly why I havent bought into VR yet. We have no games, just technology demos. Until developers learn to make true full games, like Fallout 4, using it... its going to remain in its infantile state. As far as AAA, spot on. AAA is stuck in a holding patern and has been for 10+ years. Games following a paint-by-numbers pattern of popularity. Whats hot, what is selling, whats not... which is probably the first questions any AAA developer asks at any brainstorming ses...
Who cares what game it comes from for what system, the fact is... it was showing a technique that many gamers dont know takes place in the background of their games. Something that isnt really openly discussed in mainstream media, that may or may not be common knowledge to the mainstream or casual gamers of the world.
Anything that educates anybody on any topic, is a great thing. When anybody puts anyone else down for learning, it shows their ignorance and self absorption. ...
Glad to hear it, though the game has been in production for so long that Im worried its quality will suffer. Especially since its been through multiple developers hands. The original trailer looked incredible, lets hope its kept that charm while keeping decent gameplay in tact.
This is exactly how I feel. I think Microsoft wants to make this a platform and not so much a console anymore. I wouldn't doubt seeing 3DO like hardware manufacturing from different companies, with those companies adding more power to their machines to make the games look and run better. Basically, like a PC, but with a closed OS. So that all software will run on every hardware spec from Scorpios launch until the end of time. Basically, everything the Steam machines were supposed to be....
Yea. Even funnier is that there was a game on the Sega CD in 1992 that allowed you to do it, called Jaguar XJ220. Let you place road sections, both turns and straightaways with trees, tunnels, roadside objects, etc... and save them for future use. Was a blast and I dont think any game has done it since.

I like the fact that you can make infinite new courses with the generator, but hate the fat that you cant make custom tracks that let you place anything and everything where you want to. Id love to make a course that goes into the mountains with snow, but ends up in a city or beachfront.
Still looks good, but it irks me that we cant make our own, and rally cross, courses.
Reminds me of a mix of Crackdown and Team Fortress, with a little Red Faction Guerilla thrown in. Looks like it could be a lot of fun.
I love railway sims. I just hope they give us console gamers the ability to use a mouse and keyboard, as these games always tend to be tougher to play with a gamepad.
Developers are just now digging into the Pro. Of course, first party developers tend to always get the most out of the new hardware... though, some third party devs are starting to take advantage of the extra power. Games like For Honor, Ghost Recon: Wildlands, Final Fantasy XV and even The Division, which recently got a native 4K patch. Im sure there are more developers who are tinkering. Games like GTA V would be incredible with a patch and you know Rockstar is going to eek every ounce of j...
I love to see games take leaps with their locales. Especially when it comes to DLC. This is a nice change of pace from New Orleans and should add tremendously to the story and feel of the game. Cant wait to play it!
