First I love the name. Second the X1 is using a fully custom API yes but its as close to a PC as any console has ever been. Porting games over to it from PC will be considerably easier as both will be running DX12. The funniest part of this WHOLE 1080p situation is the VAST majority of people own a TV that they paid very little for. The reviews of said TVs show that the picture quality is far from the top of the line sets. So most of the people complaining are playing on crap TVs (anything under $2000). So have fun saying how important 1080 is when your TV runs is poorly.
The thing about TLOU is even though its absolutely one of the best games I've EVER played. Just because the reviewer didn't like doesn't mean that he is a bad reviewer or the site is a bad site. Remember it like every other form of media is subject to peoples tastes and opinions. Guess what while many loved the game, some people without a doubt hated it.
The problem is you guys are comparing apples to bananas. Games are far larger in scope and in actual amount you can do. Of course there were no day one patches if a game had a bug there was nothing you could do.
Who cares about day one patches as long as they fix issues. ACU and Drive club are different stories as the game was nigh unplayable for a long period of time.

Based on the comments so far I'm going against the grain, but I don't care if a game is patched as long as the patch means the game is better. I appreciate that ND would like to avoid that for obvious reasons but you best believe if they missed something, and since there humans that can/will happen, they would release a patch no matter how big it had to be.

These numbers are for shareholders and if MS ships a console to a retailer they are paid for it. So shareholders only want to hear about the money the company makes. Why do,you care about sold through numbers it doesn't make any console better to play if it's doing better than the competition and vise versa.
You're right if you buy a PS4 you will have to deal with frequent PSN outages. Do you really want to spend the same amount for a less powerful console?
I loved TF, and IMO it lived up to the hype. Was the game perfect? Nope but it was fresh, fast-paced, and super fun.

Just a little PSA for you; If you list a game and then put "lol" behind it, that doesn't mean anything. Couple things; first of all MS won November AND December in the us, which is the number one revenue source for video game companies. So while while the rest of the world is larger geographically not in terms of revenue.
Secondly, Sony had massive price cuts the first few years of the PS3 and in the end sold about as many ps3s as MS did X360s, which in effect means Sony lost HALF its market share to MS.
