I also think everyone is forgetting Halo 5.
I wonder two things;
1. The political intrigue of The Witcher 2 was very deep and you very much felt you were in a battle between several big players ala Game of Thrones. Does this game continue that?
2. On the technical side many reviews have commented on the framerate issue, but all the reviews were for the PS4, does the X1 have similar framerate issues? I know this will make peoples heads explode but using ACU as a metric it may not have those same issues....
Technically it was 900p upscaled to 1080p. Now its 1080p native or 1080p upscaled.
Have you taken a look at two NIC cards? The PS4 NIC card is several years older than the X1 NIC card. I have zero Issue downloading on my X1 (install is a different story) but as we go forward the PS4 will start to experience DL issues.
The problem with your argument is many of you don't know anything about business. If the game sold poorly on the X1 due to install base or whatever non-sense reason you want to make up than the publisher would absolutely release the GOTY edition on the Xbox since it has a greater pool of people to sell to. Especially when you consider the game came out around the same time as Halo MCC, meaning that many games MAY have skipped it because of a greater desire to play Halo

You know 99% of people that makes games are good hearted. Which shouldn't suprise anyone. It's the suits that sometimes make companies look bad. It's not different than gamers. 99% are great but the rest are black hearted folk.
Folks many of you may not be vary business savvy and that's ok, so I'll help you out. Never in the history of the world would a company drop the price on a product that is selling (WE PRESUME) in far excess of its direct competition.
SO the only likely explanation is that Sony is seeing sales slow and sales of the X1 pick up speed. If this wasn't the case Sony would have no reason what so ever to drop the price this much.

Let me ask you something; what year did games start costing $60? I'll answer it for you 2005. 2005!!! Adjusted for inflation a game cost under $55. What in the hell would you like developers and publishers to do to make money to stay in business??? Gamers want bigger, badder, better looking games yet don't care how much that costs. Here's something interesting to think about; there's a very good chance Halo 5 out sells every exclusive Sony releases this year. And it's going to be 900p and no ones going to care. Its funny the PS4 fanboys (not saying you are one) love to go into every X1 article and say something similar. But boy do PS4 fanboys hate when the same is done to them...interesting.
I buy all sports and FPS games digitally as I always play those. All SP games I buy physically.
The MCC is the best value in the history of gaming. It had issues with its online component, which now works perfect, but the SP and Coop content worked flawlessly and was a crap ton of fun....

The fact is last gen MS had it the way they wanted because the X360 was the absolute best place to play indies and small games. People act like Sony is so,e indie tree huger but only because MS, just like in online gaming, paved the way with games of summer and promoting small games on the main blade.
I love all these PS fanboys acting like Sony made indies viable, and Sony made online good. Guess what Sony did neither and MS is not getting near the credit they deserve.

You would not being paying for online. But you would still have the atrocious online the PS3 had at launch. Because of Xbox Live you have the PS4 with a good online service.

You cant say that the X1 might preform better than the PS4, you have to remember according to the PS4 fanboys the PS4 is more powerful than a super computer and has the best graphics, performance and online. N4G doesn't forgive for that sort of talk so be careful. I know, I know, ACU proved that the X1's CPU advantage has a positive effect on FR, but that doesn't matter damn you!
