No I'm not saying it couldn't be just as good as a PS4 exclusive or full multiplat. What I'm saying is why is it so easy to believe that SF would be nothing without Sony, but TR could be as amazing or better (as some have even more foolishly stated) multi plat or Sony exclusive. Please help me understand this.

So Heavy when did you become such an expert on SE business? I mean what circles are they going in? They said its exclusive this holiday, and then said it will come to PC and PS4 (which we already knew) on certain dates, and then told us that the trilogy is unsurprisingly not exclusive.
SO to me it sounds like they just stated the info that any high school graduate should be able to infer. Am I missing something?

Your idea of beat to a pulp is very different then what it actually means to be beat to a pulp. The Xbox division is doing quite well; they have the best exclusives this year, best online service, BC, and by far the best controller. Oh and there's this little thing called an Almost 30% YoY increase in revenue. I think MS did a fantastic job of not treating Gamescom as a second rate show. I mean the conference lasted 90 min, and I don't think they pulled any punches. I would have liked to hear more about the new UI but oh well.
The only real way to rate the show is by asking; Did the show giving you a compelling reason to buy an X1. The answer alone is a yes, and combine it with E3 and IMO the X1 has become a must own.

That gameplay trailer was so sick. She's so ruthless, if I was walking down the street and saw her coming at me I'd cross the street.
MS did a fantastic job and needed all of 90 min to show all of the awesome stuff coming this year and next. Tomb Raider was by far my favorite part. That game is going to be so sick, and Laura is a ruthless badass.
The best part is other developers are doing the same thing. Man BC is just a huge deal for the X1.
Its just marketing. Every company on the planet do it. Ever seen the interview commercials after a movie releases? Are they excited? I'm sure. Did they play it up because they knew they were on camera? I'm Sure.
On topic: Im very excited for TR, I spent 2 months playing The Witcher 3 and will be playing MGS here in a few weeks so I may be open world burned out. So a nice story driven game will be perfect.

I have high hopes for the campaign as well. Here's the thing, Halo 4 was visually and narratively very impressive and that was 343s first game.
Guess what I enjoyed Batman on my X1 just as much as you did on the PS4 (if you even played it as you don't seem to be a real gamer).
Sales isn't going to get you anything. If it would games like Fallout would 100% do exclusive stuff with Sony, alas Fallout has exclusive content for X1.
The best part is I'm going to enjoy all the PS4 exclusives AND the X1 exclusives. You on the other hand have to miss out. TO BAD FOR YOU!
That's funny Sony launched TLoU four times (basically the SAME game) in two years. Yeah MS is the only company who can milk an IP...
I'm sorry no one has put out any killer must buy exclusives. The Witcher 3 is probably the only true next gen game out that couldn't have been done last gen.
To be honest it doesn't hurt my soul. One thing I would say, and please feel free to disagree, but you are 100% missing out on some amazing games.

Am I remembering correct that Wasteland is coming to consoles? So I would assume that this will make its way at some point.
These folks are incredibly ungrateful. I mean a 200 hour game that had a fantastic story, and some of the best quests I've ever played all for only $60.
But since there's no game+ mode CDPR screwed us, lied to us, stole our money, and MS is also probably to blame somehow.
Nothing gave last gen.
CD is only making the X1 version. A different studio is doing the X360 port.
Remedy has never made a bad game, either has ND. I think this will be an interesting friendly competition between the two games for GOTY and Action GOTY.
