If I still had my 360, I would have definitely played "Eternal Sonata", but "Blue Dragon" didn't interest me to be honest. I also liked "Mass Effect" and "Lost Odyssey" as far as 360 RPGs go.
Like I said, all due respect to the 360's lineup, there are some fantastic games there.
Its just that I personally prefer Sony's exclusives, and as a PS3 owner who already has a 15 game library, I can't help but laugh when people try to te...
"If you look at it the 360 is doing better than the PS3"
Actually, if you look at it more closely, you'd notice that the 360's best year for sales was 2006 when it had no competition.
Since the Wii and PS3 arrived in 2007 both units have outsold the 360.
Honestly, I don't mind if things are pushed back because I'd rather play them when they're ready.
You could release a Halo game every year, and it wouldn't matter to me.
I'll wait for "Final Fantasy" and "Metal Gear Solid" games because that is what I want. It doesn't matter to me that the 360 got its games out first, because those games don't interest me, and Sony has the exclusives that I prefer (God of War, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy etc)
...
The PlayStation brand has always been about variety and balance.
While the Xbox bragged about the success of a few MegaHits like Halo, the PS2 came along and crushed it with a more varied and balanced selection.
The same thing is happening with this generation; The 360 touts big titles like "Halo3", "Gears", and "Bioshock" which is fine...but what if you don't want to play sci-fi based shooters?
I owned a PSone because it of...
Am I the only one who noticed that they were basing their numbers on a sample base of only 150 or people?
I support Sony in this fight, and I'm personally way more interested in "Metal Gear Solid 4" myself, but that puny little sample base is hardly a tool to make bold predictions from.
Both games will sell well, but I think MGS4 will be a system seller for Sony, whereas NG2 will sell well, but not act as a system seller.
All those shiny industry leading games didn't prevent the 360 from being outsold worldwide by both the Wii and PS3 since they arrived.
Microsoft likes to try and talk with confidence but their actions speak otherwise:
THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE 360
...then they spent billions to warranty the industry's worst failrate
THEN THEY INVESTED MILLIONS INTO HD-DVD
...only to later claim downloads were the future (because they lost)
TH...
LMAO @ 5 million more.
They had a 16 month head start.
They've already been surpassed by the Wii.
They're losing ground to the PS3 each and every month.
Especially trying to use the market leader spin, when they've been outsold by Wii and PS3 since early 2007.
Ignorantly downplaying RROD.
"BE REASONABLE" wasn't reasonable at all.
He spoke his personal opinion, but tried to label it as "FACT"
If its such a "fact" that the 360 has better games....
- why has it been outsold since the Wii and PS3 arrived?
- why has much of the attention been on the PS3 lineup?
- why have 360 sales declined since 2006 instead of increasing?
If its such a "fact" that the 360 offers more than the PS3........
What are these "better games" you speak of on the 360?
"Halo3", "Gears of War", and "Bioshock" right?
They're all the same damned genre; Sci-Fi based shooters.
"Resistance", "Haze", and "Killzone2" offer me the same thing.
But,
I can't get "Final Fantasy XIII" on 360.
I can't get "Metal Gear Solid 4" on 360.
I can't get "Gran Turismo 5" on...
1) Your comments about the 360 outselling the PS3 are not accurate; the only year the 360 sold more was in 2006 prior to the PS3's release. Since 2007 the PS3 has actually outsold the 360 worldwide.
2) The PS3 doesn't need "mega hits". It just needs to keep providing the most intrigueing and balanced selection, like the PlayStation brand has done since 1996.
3) The PlayStation2 outsold the Xbox by over 100 million units, and those people didn't just dissape...
It makes me appreciate my PlayStation3 that much more.
Lack of 3rd Party development.
Way too much generic shovelware.
Last gen graphics.
Gimmicky control scheme that tires quickly.
Lack of mature content.
Too expensive for what it offers.
Just my personal opinion of course, and I intend no offence towards those who appreciate the Wii....but its just not my cup of tea.
1) The value of my original mint copy will drop
2) I'm more interested in some news about Suikoden VI for PS3
This is however great news for gamers.
Great old-school JRPG and it'll be a steal for the price.
C'mon Sony Soldiers!
KING KAZ needs some bubbles!
LOL, yeah, but that might actually HELP 360 sales.
Think about it; how safe does that 3 year warranty feel when its a few months from expiring!?
Perhaps Microsoft's marketing strategy is to re-fill its own market with existing 360 owners who are willing to buy their 3rd unit?
Its amusing that you're complaining about people's reactions being "illogical emotion based responses" considering that article was one big biased illogical emotion based arguement.
"Japan doesn't matter" - TORDAVIS
Sorry, but you lost all credibility with that statement.
Let me guess, Europe doesn't matter either right?
Next.
Look at the 360's sales pattern thusfar:
2006 - the 360 sells over 9 million units against no competition
2007 - competition arrives, 360 sales drop, Wii & PS3 outsell it
2008 - the 360 continues to be outsold worldwide by both its competitors
The only thing the 360 can brag about is 2006 when it had no competition.
It's 16 month head start is evapourating quickly;
The Wii has already surpassed it.
The PS3 has been outselling it sinc...
1) The PS3 is following the same general pattern as the PS2 did.
2) The PS2 is still selling.
3) The PSP is selling great.
4) The PS3 has the best upcoming lineup.
After the PS1 and PS2 I don't know how or why people decided to start doubting Sony last year, but those doubters are sure looking foolish now.
