I can totally respect your opinion on FFX, even if I still disagree.
To me, the biggest difference was the ability to free roam a bit.
I found FFX to be very linear, whereas FFXII allowed me to wonder and explore alot more, which I really liked.
To each their own thought, respect and bubbles.
I'm "stupid or something" because I liked a different game than you?
Seriously now, stop playing with daddy's computer.
NOTE: if you want to try and insult my intelligence, you should probably begin with having someone teach you how to use spell-check. You sound like an idiot.
None of them were on PS2.
(aside from Dragon QUEST VIII of course)
"Final Fantasy X" wasn't even the best FF title on the PS2.
"Ratchet & Clank" games were better than "Jak".
And how the hell did they forget about "Resident Evil 4"?
My personal PS2 TOP 10 would be as such:
1. Final Fantasy XII
2. Metal Gear Solid 2
3. God of War
4. Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec
5. Shadow of the Colossus
6. Resident Evil 4
7. Metal Gear Solid 3
8. Final ...
My multiplat count was off in the earlier post because I forgot a game
(before anyone starts with the "your count changed" stuff)
I respect them as a company trying to do their best, but honestly, they've never impressed me much, personally speaking.
"Legacy of Kain" was decent but mostly forgettable.
"MGS Twin Snakes" was fantastic, but it wasn't really their game.
"Eternal Darkness" was over-rated for being the only non ResEvil NGC horror title.
And now, you've got an unproven "Too Human" title with a tone of hype and a company head who does...
The BIGGER picture is that we, the consumer will never know the truth.
Lets say NG2 comes out, and has some flaws and glitches....maybe those problems were worse in the "red disc review build", and maybe its the same problems in both. At the end of the day, very few of us will know the truth.
Besides, lots of games come out with a few glitches that are fixed easily with updates or patches.
What are we going to go back and re-review every game thats h...
I totally get what you're saying, but I don't personally think it matters that much, especially to the casual consumer. I've never heard of anyone buying a 360 over a PS3 just because games like "Fear" got half a point higher in a review.
I agree with you whole-heartedly that if you're lucky enough to own multiple systems, you'll obviously care more about the differences in multiplats. For example, if you owned both systems, you'd obviously buy GTA4 for 360 if you wante...
Then just stick to the main story.
The extra content is there for those who want more bang for thier buck.
There were definately some things from Morrowind I wish were kept in Oblivion:
- The inventory grid
- The use of spears and throwing weapons
- The option to wear/combine more layers of clothing
- The ability to delete/forget older spells once they're obsolete
- The teleport abilities and silt striders
.....the context in which the list was intended.
Its not supposed to be just the "worst" exclusives, but the "biggest dissapointments" in terms of the hype and potential each title was supposed to have.
Thats why you don't see crap like "Bomberman Zero" (360 exclusive) on there; nobody expected it to be any good.
The cover art for "Resident Evil 4" said "Only on GameCube".
Then it was ported to the PS2.
Then it was ported to the PC.
Then it was ported to the Wii.
Cover Art lies man.
I think its unreasonable to dismiss the fact that developers have had an extra 15 months to get accustomed to the 360 architecture.
When you look at the history of EVERY console, the games get better as times goes by. Look at year one PS2 titles versus year seven PS2 titles.
Hell, look at 360 launch titles versus the stuff coming out now.
I think the differences in the multiplats have been drastically over-exagerated, at least in my personal experiences. I curr...
Thats pretty clever, except when you consider the benefits I've gotten for waiting:
- Optimum disc format
- BluRay victory, with HD player included w/ console
- Features like motion controlls
- Free online
- Vastly superior 2008-2009 lineup
I don't mind waiting for something to be done right, so I applaud the fact that this company would rather delay and get it right, than ship me a faulty product......you know, like Microsoft did with 360 har...
Anyone who claimed the PS3 was on "life support" was just kidding themselves. I never understood those whom doubted the PS3; what, were they not paying attention to the last 10 years of PlayStation brand dominance?
Look, the PS3 came along a little slowly for a few key reasons:
1) They continued support of the PS2 which was appreciated
2) They took their time to make sure PS3 had the right features
3) They focussed on winning the BLuRay/HDDVD war
...
I have to disagree.
First off, all this jimmer jammer about multiplats being better on whichever system is pointless; people don't generally chose their system of choice based on multiplats.
Secondly, I personally find 90% of the "it plays/looks better on 360" to be false most of the time. Countless 360 fans told me that games like Oblivion, HL2:OrangeBox, R6vegas2, Lost Planet etc are supposedly so much better on 360, but they look and play fantastic on my...
The problem with your logic on that one is that the USA typically comes around eventually.
And if you don't think Microsoft is aware of how important the Japanese and other Asian markets are, you're kidding yourself; look at all the attempts they've made to offer JRPS like "Eternal Sonata", "Blue Dragon", "Lost Odyssey" and such.
When you make mention of "Kiddie Big Pedophile" and "GreyZone2" you're talking about "Banjo" and "Gears2" right?
Yes, "HAZE" was a letdown, but its not the consumers fault to expect a decent game.
That said, basing the potential success of "Little Big Planet" and "Killzone2" on what just happened to "Haze" is absurd, since the games are made my different companies.
Way too many ports, remakes and sequels.
If you're going to waste that much time and effort flogging remakes, you might as well give the world the remake of FFVII it wants.
agree completely.
Fatal Frame 4 should definitely be on the PS3 aswell.
I'd buy it for PS3, but there's no way I'm dropping $269 on a Wii.
