Glad I'm not alone!
LOL, making the water level go up and down, those crazy lead boots to make you sink, and those hidden passages......
Damned water temple.
For some reason the Water Temple in Zelda's Ocarina of Time always gave me fits.
And the hardest game I've ever played is "Legacy of the Wizard" on the NES....that game didn't have levels, it was just one giant unforgiving maze.
For the current generation, no game has frustrated me more than Ninja Gaiden Sigma.
Think about it.
That 3 year warranty won't look so spiffy in another 6 months when many 360 owners are in thier last year with warranty.
At least this way they'll get something tangeable when they buy their third 360 unit.
look at the PS2 still going!
Again, not trying to troll or anything, that was just some random thoughts.
Much respect as always DRAGON JP.
I think you are correct about what will probably happen, but I'll play devil's advocate a little with what probably should happen:
If Microsoft was smart they'd be working on the next Xbox right now and have it ready for early 2009. Sticking with the 360 is a waste for a variety of reasons:
1) The 3 year warranty isn't looking great now that year 3 is here
2) DVD9 is not an optimal disc format at this point
3) The 3...
Q: What are you missing?
A: You're missing the fact that the PS3 has a fantastic lineup
360 Fanboys keep trying to tell me the PS3 has no games.
But look at what I have been playing and looking forward to.
CURRENT EXCLUSIVES:
- Resistance Fall of Man
- Warhawk
- Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
- Ratchet & Clank FToD
- Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
- Heavenly Sword
- Folklore
- F1 Championship Edition
- MLB'08...
I don't mind PS3 titles being delayed until they're ready.
Microsoft rushed 360 to market before it was ready and the results are:
- the industry's new standard for poor failrates
- an outdated format with limited disc space
- billions in losses gone to repair faulty hardware
- format war lost to BluRay
- no motion control functionality
- being outsold by Wii and PS3 since they arrived in 2007
No thanks.

If you take an honest look at the 360's top rated titles, most of them are also on PlayStation3, and many of the few not also on PS3 are available on PC.
If you only want to play sci-fi based shooters, buy a 360.
If you want a well rounded game library with the best exclusives (that are actually exclusive) and you want to play them on a quality machine that happens to come with tones more value, reliability and features, buy a PS3.
.....the Master Chief just took a kick to the groin.
um.....two words:
PRE ORDER.
Seriously, what do I care if it hits 576, 640, or 720 if the game still looks decent and the gameplay is there?
125+ million people didn't care the Xbox was graphically superior to PS2
20+ million people have already chosen the Wii over graphically superior units
Lets stop debating resolution factors and start gaming people!
You're being foolish.
Ignorant misguided gibberish disguised as patriotism didn't help the Xbox against the PS2.
Comparing the value of the two units objectively (360 vs PS3) I honestly don't understand how the 360 is considered a "deal", unless you're already specific to its exclusives (much respect to Halo etc)
If a customer was on the fence and didn't already have a system preference, the PS3 just offers more value.
- Free online
- Free BluRay player with DVD upscaler
- Battery packs and charge cords included
- Features like motion controls
Really no need to follow your comment up, you hit it perfect.
No way I'd tinker with a 360 and void that warranty.
Very good point about the attach rates, they are important, but I don't think they completely dismiss the RRoD issues. Attach rates are affected by several factors and never tell the whole picture.
And again, my curiosity stems from working at a local gaming shop.
We are cuatious to carry used 360s because the first question anyone asks is what our shop's warranty is on used units (because MS won't fix an RRoD on a system purchased second hand).
It defin...
agreed my friend.

- Fantastic campaign story

- can't wait!
Look at the 360's pattern:
2006 - The 360 sells 9 million units against no competition
2007 - The PS3 and Wii arrive, 360 sales dive even with Halo 3 etc.
2008 - The Wii and PS3 continue to outsell the 360 worldwide
The 9 million units the 360 sold in 2006 against no competition remains the only bragging point for MicroSoft.
Microsoft rushed faulty hardware to market 16 months early and what do they have to show for it?
- The industri...
I'm honestly curious how many of the 360's total is people who've purchased multiple systems.
I work at a local video game shop, and many customers who bought those first year 360s (prior to the warranty) came back and bought second units from us. We've also had several customers trade in their malfunctioning 360's and upgrade to newer models or Elites.
I'm honestly curious just how many of those 19 million 360s are still up and running, and if the RRoD phenomena is ...
my question is what has suddenly caused the big surge of psp sales over there? - JSPC1989
"Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core"?
