The only genre the 360 caters to with quality exclusives is sci-fi based games with shooter combat (Halo3, Bioshock, Gears, Mass Effect)....
...yet the games getting the most heat from 360 fanboys bashing the PS3 are....wait for it.....sci-fi based shooters! (Resistance, Haze, Killzone2)
If "Resistance", "Haze" and "Killzone2" came out as 360 exclusives, 360 fanboys would be having wet dreams.
I'd be willing to bet you've never played much of "Resistance".

- Superior game lineup (both present and upcoming)
- Way more features
- Reliability
- Free Online
- Free BluRay player
- Sony supports its systems longer

.....the PS3 still has its major apps to come.
With the 360 coming out a year earlier, its already landed its major apps like "Halo3" and "BioShock" etc. The PS3 will see spikes in software when its key apps hit.
The people who've been comparing the 360's 2nd year games against the PS3's launch titles are going to get hit with reality when titles like "Metal Gear Solid 4" arrive.
I commend these guys for not bowing to a buyout from EA, and they've made a fantastic game.
Give it time.

The only reason the 360 is still ahead of the PS3 is the 9 million units they sold prior to the Wii and PS3 showing up.
FACT: 360 sales have steadily decreased over the last 2 years.
FACT: Wii and PS3 sales have been increasing.
FACT: Worldwide, the Wii and PS3 have outsold the 360 since 2007.

While you're playing "Left 4 Dead" I'll be playing "Metal Gear Solid 4", "Killzone 2", "Haze", "Digaea 3", "Resistance 2", "LittleBigPlanet", "Uncharted 2", "Final Fantasy XIII" and so on and so forth.
Trust me lol, we don't need your sympathy, nor do we need VALVE.
Check out METACRITIC (which balances review scores for games)
Now check the 30 highest rated 360 titles.
Here is what you'll notice:
1) 21/30 of those highly rated 360 games are also on PlayStation
2) 5/9 of those not on PlayStation are available on PC anyways
3) The PS3 has more "exclusives" rated over 80% than the 360 does
PS3 doubters are quickly running ouit of excuses.

I don't see how this is worth debating.
Everyone knew the 360 version of GTA4 would outsell the PS3 version initially in America because there are more 360 consoles out currently.
I'm more interested to see the overall picture:
- how much did GTA4 impact hardware sales?
- what are the worldwide tallies
- what will the total sales be after a full month
- how well does the DLC sell later on
.....but maybe we'll see a value bundle before we see an actual pricecut. Now that games like "Mario Galaxy" have sold millions of copies to those whom already have a Wii, I could see Nintendo keeping the price at the current mark, but offering another game in the bundle.
If they throw in a decent first party title like "Galaxy" into the bundle, they could keep the cost where it is and justify it.
LOL, how is this anything new? Have you ever looked at the full list of NES or SNES titles? Generic Shovelware games have been a plague since the 80's, its not like its a new phenomena.
Hell, even my beloved PlayStations have always had lineups rampant with those crappy lesser-thans.
