"Except it's as traditional anymore being on a console"
The Switch is a hybrid. Handheld/console combo. The console may not be traditional, but there isn't any real reason why the game can't be. The Pokemon series has always been about trading with people. Casting that aside because you think the Switch is too big is a little short-sighted, IMO.
"imagine if games like Final Fantasy, Ni no Kuni or Elde...
All core Pokemon titles have had at least two versions a generation. Since this is a core title and supposedly a new generation there isn't much reason for you to expect them not to go with the traditional route that they have been doing since 1996.
If true, that will be a stellar E3. I don't necessarily trust rumors, no matter how credible. Here is to hoping though!
Not needed, but certainly wanted. I know I'd pay a mint for some classics on the go (though here is to hoping I wouldn't have to)
@The10thRider
I'm not arguing your numbers. I, myself, calculated that the absolute lowest it could be is 11.7 million units just like you did. However, the number was provided from the 10th of December, and took two days to process. What you should notice, however, is the word "surpass".
They "surpassed" 10M as of December 10th. Which means it could be 10M exactly, or 10.5M. IMO, we may as well just wait for Nintendo's offici...
Don't see why I am getting disagrees. If you have a subscription you aren't using just cancel it. Completely logical. If I stop listening to Pandora I stop paying for it.
@The 10th Rider
You did a lot of digging, but the 10M number Nintendo provided was as of the 10th of December (just two or so days before they announced it). https://www.nintendo.co.jp/...
@AspiringProGenji
"Like, you will still be paying $10 a month in season droughts, assuming you already beat previously released games and want more."
Just cancel your subscription until they release another exclusive or new game you'd like to try. Problem solved.
Is that how long it took between Persona 4 and Persona 5?
Hot damn...the games are great, but boy do they take their time.
When he is saying he "lied" it isn't that he lied about the question being asked. He just lied about that question being last.
Me too. Persona 5 brought me into the series, but I've since played Persona 3 and Persona 4. I'd love a Persona collection on Switch as well.
I think the sweet spot for Playstation would be around 450$. The original Playstation launched for the equivalent of around 430$ (adjusted for inflation) and the PS2 and PS4 launched for the equivalent of 425$ (adjusted for inflation). Launching for too much (i.e. the PS3) causes it's own problems.
So, to answer your question, yeah more than 399 would be fine, but not significantly more.
Edit: Ah dude, you edited and took away your question. Now it j...
I think Atlus should try porting Persona 5 to the Switch. This way they can gauge interest in whether it would be lucrative to have the next Persona installment on the platform.
Historically they've been on Playstation platforms, but they've also had every main game ported to a portable at some point. With no new portable Playstation in sight the Switch makes sense.
@Prince-Ali
And the PS3 has more total games than the PS4. I don't understand your point.
Well, actually there is this part in the article: "Nintendo has confirmed that the Switch has sold 600,000 units in Germany since launch, which makes it their fastest selling system there, ever."
So far it's the fastest selling in US, Canada, Germany, Japan and I believe Italy and France too. Pretty crazy given their position just a year ago.
Oh yeah, for sure. It's really bad.
I stopped using my phone for this site because of it.
@moegooner88
"Now trying to shift focus on Nintendo"
Nothing was ever shifted you dunce. The whole "interesting" part of the observation was that BOTH competitors were beating Xbox sales DESPITE Xbox increase in sales. It's part of the original comment. You just decided to exclude Nintendo for god knows why.
I can phrase it differently if you want. Maybe if I use smaller words it'll click for you.
@moegooner88
And? Nintendo doesn't have the strongest showing in Europe either.
You don't sound like an easy person to get along with.
Personally, I think Xenogears and Xenoblade 1 are the best.
