I can't tell...

How would you know that information when it hasn't been publicly posted yet?

Your comment screams "overly-defensive".

There are many gamers that love this game. While it's sad that the developers weren't publicly praised for their work, I'm sure they've still heard the praise of the game both through sales, critics, and gamers.

There were new IP's that were praised that the VGA's. Hellblade and Cuphead both won 2 or 3 awards each.

Again, it isn't just about climbing. You completely glossed over that in the article. In fact, the article mentions climbing exactly once. It also isn't getting a pity pass. It's an extremely well designed game filled with detail and an incredible amount of environmental and physical interactions. Here is a well written article from The Witcher 3 and Assassins Creed developers on what they thought was great about the game:

"but everyone who loves it allot never gives a great reason for why (including this author)"

I'm pretty sure this entire article focuses on one of the bigger aspects of why he enjoys the game. He called it " life-like emergent gameplay"

It isn't just about climbing, and this comment gives me the impression that you never actually read the article.

I'm trying to temper my expectations, but she did play the role of Mrs. Arrow in F-Zero GX. Could this be another F-Zero?

Boy I hope so.

It's because you are supposed to use the actual source of the information. The Gematsu is not the original source of the information, the other link is.

It's unfortunate, but it's the way the posting guidelines say it must be done.

To add, I by no means thought Horizon was a bad game. It takes a lot of cues from the Far Cry series, but it does most of them better. It is a great game and deserving of it's scores. I just think that BotW is also deserving of it's scores.

I feel rewarded just for the experience of exploring and experimenting. The puzzles feel great, especially since there is rarely ever just one way to solve a problem. Also, not every quest is a fetch quest. There are a myriad of other quests that introduce shrines, teach you recipes, have you defeat enemies, find special animals etc. Every thing has such an organic feel in the world, especially with your environment and with NPC's. Every encounter with an e...

@UltraNova

I just know I'm going to get disagreed for this, but here it goes.

Sony doesn't put out more games than Nintendo does. For first party releases we have I think 7 games from Sony this year (Horizon, Uncharted LL, Knack 2, GTS, Gravity Rush 2, Drawn to Death, and LocoRoco 1&2) note: I consolidated LocoRoco 1 and 2

Nintendo has produced 10 releases (Zelda: BotW, Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, Mario Party ...

I have a completely different experience than you do. I loved BotW from end to end.

"The vast majority of Nintendo gamers only buy Nintendo published games in a very very deep percentile."

Then why have Take Two, Capcom, Square Enix, and Bandai Namco all expressed satisfaction with the successful titles they've put on Switch so far?

I feel like they could have at least had this game at 1440p and 60FPS on the Pro. The fact that it runs 1080p and 60FPS on the base PS4 and Pro makes me wonder if they even tried optimizing for a Pro patch.

If they would have made it more powerful it would have cost more money.

No, it's available for Xbox One too. From the article: "The application in particular is called PhotoEffect and has been published since yesterday in the Microsoft Store and available for Xbox One and PC. We have tested it and it works like the previous emulator, but they have changed the use of the B button and now it is allowed to be used in the games and the emulator menu has been changed by the right stick button."

@Godsmars

When did anyone raise stink about the PS3 being backwards compatible? I don't think I ever saw anyone complaining about that.

Isn't PUBG this year though?

@ _-EDMIX-_

Except they didn't exit the home console market, they just combined their home console and portable console markets.

Also, you say crap that is wrong all the time. Like the Dreamcast being more powerful than the PS2, or the PSP being more powerful than the PS2. Remember when you said the Switch wouldn't get support from third parties because those games won't sell well on the console? What about when you said that Dragon Quest was...
