It's just a patent, relax people.
I agree with most everything, but what's wrong with the SD card slot? It's in a much better position than the new 3DS XL, IMO.
The console is entirely portable when rendering at 720p. How is that not impressive?
People here are going crazy.
1) 8 is in no way a negative score.
2) In what way is God of War similar to Sea of Thieves OR Arms? If it isn't similar then why are you comparing the scores?
@the disagrees
Do you people seriously not think a storage medium will get cheaper to manufacture with time? When has that NOT been the case?
Storage will get cheaper with time, as well.
Well, Sega Ages has historically been very different than the Genesis collections. The Genesis collections are essentially straight ports. The Ages collections are small remakes. Often with new gameplay options. Also, since they are individual releases, they can add more at any point in time.
On the PS2 they had 33 different volumes, and some volumes contained 2 or more games. Some of them were even Saturn games.
Looking at FLOPS across companies and architectures is dangerous. They will never be a 1:1 match. As a general rule, you only compare AMD to AMD and Nvidia to Nvidia.
Here is an example: The Wii U had around 352 GFLOPS of peak performance, but the Switch handheld has slightly better GPU performance (despite being 192 GFLOPS), and around twice the GPU performance when docked.
This might be cool for small things, like trading cards in a card game. I couldn't see much else being used for it though.
It probably won't continue to be the norm. Games like Dragon Quest XI and Valkyria Chronicles started development before the developers had Switch dev kits and before some engines updated with compatibility. Now most developers have Switch dev kits and engines have been updated, so development can start simultaneously instead of the fractured way it's been.
The loading times would likely be fixed in this release. Loading times are a direct result of having to dump new data into RAM pools. Transfer speeds are much faster now than they were when the ports came out, so that shouldn't be an issue.
@OB1Biker
The thing is that CP_Company has an uneducated opinion about the contents of the article. At the very least the one who reviewed Ni No Kuni 2 has an educated opinion about the game, albeit one I disagree with.
An uneducated opinion isn't as valuable as an educated opinion.
Punishing the players isn't the way to go.
I don't think that Bayonetta 2 and 3 would be much bigger on Xbox or Playstation unless you are factoring in install base.
Just look at how Bayonetta 1 performed on PS3 and 360.
I go there for the buy 2 get 1 free deals they have on preowned games sometimes.
The word "based" doesn't inherently mean anything bad.

Switch didn't have as much for Q1 in comparison to the other consoles, but we will see how the rest of the year fares. May/June seems to be a pretty busy time for the Switch.
PS4 had some great games and multiplats. Monster Hunter was a huge game for it. Some great news about the future of the console too.
Xbox had some great multiplats, but a fairly disappointing new IP release.
Because graphics aren't always the reason one purchases a game for a system. The draw for the Switch is convenience. I mean, you don't have to have the same mind set, but I don't understand how you (or others) can't understand convenience.
The Quantum Break IP is owned by Microsoft. If Quantum Break 2 is true then it will be an exclusive in some form. Either platform, console, or otherwise.
