It's interesting because despite the Xbox being up YoY it's still being outsold by both it's competitors. How is that not interesting?
He isn't saying it's interesting that it grew.
Bluefox saying he has no brand loyalty is like saying I don't like Zelda. It's just not true.
@opinionatedlovesme
It did deserve to win it this year. Hence why it has. The other Zelda's may not have deserved to win in their respective years, hence why they didn't. People didn't just vote for it because it was Zelda, otherwise the majority of Zelda games would have won GotY awards...
"It has less good graphics, story, gameplay, interaction, setting and performance than Horizon."
Less gameplay and interaction...
@Foxtrot
I replied to your comment because it didn't seem like you read the article. If you didn't appreciate my comment that's fine, but I don't think we need this escalating any further.
With Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Bayonetta 2, and Mario Kart already on the Switch I, personally, wouldn't do it unless it was sub 100$. Just save the money for the Switch since a lot of the good games are getting ported/remastered anyway. Plus you are guaranteed future support. With the Wii U you get what you get.
@Foxtrot
I don't really see how you think I'm acting like what you said is malicious...
They specifically mentioned 4K and VR, so I'm not sure why you are mentioning online and voice chat.
@Mr.Vux
"Aside from fanboy comments, no one is brushing aside Zelda titles"
Except the comment that we both are posting to, and the majority of disagree's people have received for saying the opposite on this site.
"besides from Twilight Princess which is universally disliked by the hardcore fans and newcomers alike"
This is entirely news to me. Are you sure you didn't mean Skyward Sword? Ev...
This is the first time a Zelda title has received the majority of Game of the Year awards since 1998 when Ocarina of Time released. It's not the name. Otherwise they would have won way more often.
So you guys are more than willing to defend the Killzone series and even go on to say it's generation defining, but will completely brush aside Zelda titles?
Seriously? Wow.
Wow, I think Splatoon 2 has officially outsold both the 3DS and PS4 versions of Dragon Quest XI in Japan...
I expect some killer numbers for PS4 the next three weeks. Monster Hunter World is coming up.
@bluefox755
Funny, when I say that regarding crossplay I get downvoted to hell, but when you say that regarding sales you get upvoted...
I agree with the sentiment each way, but still...
That's a very interesting first choice. Not really what I would have chose.
@sampsonon
"Horizon's level of mechanics are on another level."
You are right, they aren't on the level of Zelda's. Here is a direct comparison.

Well, Pokemon will launch for Switch eventually. If Nintendo can drop the price or create a Switch mini like device near launch of Pokemon who knows what the Switch could be capable of.
I'm not saying they will, I'm just saying you aren't really providing valid reasons for why they wouldn't/couldn't/shou ldn't.
"Plus a retro PS1 would most likely cost $100, the same price as PSTV."
But you have to pay for the individual games too, which you wouldn't for a PS1 classic.
PS1 games can range from 4.99 to 9.99 iirc. Which means you could be spending 100$ on the PSTV then around 100-150$ just on the PS1 games you want to play (if we assume it will come with 20 games). Again, there is still a reason to market a PS1 mini.
Cheaper cost f...
I wasn't a big fan of Horizon, but Persona 5 not getting up there is a shame.
Just because you don't personally like something doesn't mean that it won through nostalgia.
From the article: "Splatoon 2 was not only the number one game but is the first console title to sell over 2 million copies in Japan since Wii Party in 2010."
They are speaking of home console titles specifically and on a single platform.
