Now MS needs to get their (Matt) Booty in high gear and pump out the variety and quantity they so desperately need to gain mass market appeal!
When you refer to exclusives, Godmars, are you referring to MS 1st party only being released on Xbox?
I don't personally mind if someone can buy an Xbox game for their PC. I'll still buy the next Xbox over a PC to play MS games, as will many others, but having more game sales only gives more profits to the developers to continue making games with. I only see advantage to Xbox/PC as a singular community. Even Sony fans with a PC will help pay for MS to make Xbox...
Ironic that a Paragon needs saving...
That's the obvious answer based off of historical data, Foxtrot, and it's the safe bet if one is to make predictions. If MS is serious about surviving in the industry for the long term though, at some point things have to change to reflect what gamers want to see from MS. To me, MS spoke the truth about their intent with the 1X, and right now they contend that they are renewing focus on games and studios. I don't agree with your viewpoint because I still have faith that MS will...
I still want to know if it's Fable 4 or if it's a new IP.
Morganfell, a lot of what you say has merit, and perhaps I was being a bit critical of your view because you keep going back to the notion of a win having to be against Sony (and because too many people here are biased in such a way that they can't have open minds about differing opinions). For that I apologize, but to be fair your tone about my affiliations with MS are misguided and a bit on the condescending/childish side.
While many of your points are valid, includi...
I agree with a lot of what you said, Morganfell. This generation is lost to Sony and the Switch is doing well right now too. The real issue I have with your post is that you didn't really read my post which mentions that:
- MS needs more games and variety
- MS needs more exclusives and 1st party studios
- MS needs to start somewhere if they ever want to turn things around
- I said the win had nothing to do with beating Sony, but with MS star...
Sounds like a plan to me. If MS shows up this year with new 1st party studios, more actual exclusives (that aren't timed) in development than we typically see, and some strong holiday support to go with what we already know is coming out this year then I'll at least consider it a win for MS. A first step towards becoming competitive again. I'm not saying a win against Sony, to be clear, but a win for their morale and perhaps a bit of redemption for how poorly things have gone f...
Cyberpunk 2077 is set to break the wall of silence at E3, just like the Cool-Aid Man does when I'm thirsty for a drink.
I'm so thirsty for this game... Oh Yeah!!!
Too bad they couldn't get Martin Short to reprise his role for this...
You could always substitute the words "scrumptious" or "delectable" if you don't want to offend anyone next time! /sarcasm

@ bluefox,
Forza has always done things different with FPS for physics by decoupling the physics frame rate from that of the graphics. While the graphics for FH3 are 30fps (and 60 fps for the numbered entries) the physics run at 360 fps, which is why the games always play smooth no matter what the graphics run at.
I agree. Built in batteries are just dumb. When the built in batteries die, the controller needs to be tethered with a cable until it's charged which defeats the whole purpose of wireless technology. Rechargeable AA's also last longer than built in lithium batteries, cost less, and take 30 seconds to switch out.
I hope they continue to make the V1 controllers too.
I thought AO games weren't allowed to be sold on consoles. I wonder what makes this tennis game so dirty? Did Itagaki make it?

Hey Grimwood, I actually don't like VR and think it's a gimmick myself, but come on... A game with cybersex that supports VR? Seems like a "natural fit". Or to "play" off of Kill Bill's response, it fits like a glove!!! No glove no love, baby, now you're playing with power!
Sounds like a good candidate for PSVR but I didn't see the peripheral mentioned in the article.
Caps lock be damned...
I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS GAME!!!
Agreed. IMO, the rumored Avatar Loot Boxes from MS are an example of Loot Boxes done well because:
1. They are only cosmetics for your avatar that show "achievements" in a unique way.
2. They do not offer any advantage in games.
3. They are free rewards.
To me, the most memorable games came out well before graphics even became good enough to be a strong selling point. PS1/N64 days were amazingly fresh and new, PS2/Xbox days were exploring open world and online, PS3/360 days were pretty versions of previous gen for the most part, and we've been playing the same basic formulas ever since.
Nowadays, we mainly get trashed and rehashed games with no real innovation. Honestly, when devs come out with innovative games like...

I'd be really impressed if MS could shake up 2017 with any 2018 announcements.
