It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

I don't think that we have any polls that show what the fans want more, but I suspect 343i would know a bit better than you. Also, recent news said 343i had been for several months to try to get split screen working. It is therefore probable that they will patch it in later, rather than simply throw months of work away.

Dragondark(1.1.11), you forgot that MS has more unannounced IP in development too. IMO, I think that puts them about equal for next year.

I agree. Who here hasn't made a mistake that has left a them ashamed that they didn't see it coming?

It doesn't make sense for Guillermo because it doesn't make dollars for Guillermo. He lost his job.

@Dee

I searched for a few minutes, but I can't seem to find a relevant article discussing MS "lying" about what could be removed. I know the features were all integrated into the machine but in the articles I remember reading, MS suggested that it wouldn't be easy (cheap?), not that it couldn't be done.

I know I could be wrong here, so if anyone can provide links I'm sure we'd all appreciate it.

I thought of the irony surrounding China sueing MS for breach of contract. China has stolen hundreds of products from the rest of the world over the years and manufactures the knockoffs as if they own them. They steal everything, including cars from major manufacturers, and noone can do a thing to stop them. What a bunch of hypocrites.

I saw that too, lol. I guess what I'm curious about is more of the potential embellishments to the core Far Cry mechanic. Like when AC stripped out most of its mechanics and rebooted off its core a few games back. Truthfully, I'm addicted to map editing so I'm more psyched about that than anything else though.

The reason you don't answer my questions is because you cannot answer them without revealing your true nature. You're the one being evasive and the you're the only reason this conversation is going in circles. I don't need to cite links because I agree with you... Phil is singing a different tune. That was never in contention. The point, which you either fail to grasp or are simply ignoring, is that your post has little to do with Phil's current fo...

Far Cry Primal is? Do we know for sure? It seems a safe assumption but its a bit too early to tell for sure. Zero Dawn could be over-hyped like The Order, Watchdogs, or SW:BF too, since there's nothing to compare it to we don't know. Right now they both look good.

Thanatos, you realize you contradicted yourself?

"Cloud compute for XB1 has not been proven to work in the real world."

"Morpheus is currently better than OR dk2."

So Morpheus and OR are prototypes are not retail product yet(real world), but have been proven by subjective analysis alone? Cloud computing has been shown working already. The data(not subjective) on it all suggests it was designed for today's networks but...

@Uptown

Why did you point out those things? What does your post have to do with either the article or the post you replied to? What was your objective if not to paint Phil in a bad light? Your original post ridicules Phil for backtracking which means you WERE implying that it was wrong to switch focus to games. Don't be coy. The fact that you took his quote out of context doesn't really help with your integrity either. Matter of fact, the ambiguity of your rebuttal pu...

different ≠ inferior

Cloud Compute alone is something XB1 was built for. Having that alone allows XB1 to have superior computing capabilities to that of any single PC or console on the market. That is enough to counterpoint, but what about all the processors that aren't factored into the 1.3tf? The DX12 update that finally allows all CPU cores to "talk" to the GPU? Win10's introduction of WDDM 2.0 will also enable additional features of DX12 that couldn'...

Uptown, why is it bad for Phil to focus more on games? User1049 aready showed how you, like the media, want to take quotes out of context to prove something. What exactly are you trying to prove? Are you suggesting it's bad for a company to want to be as successful as possible or that a company shouldn't course correct when mistakes are made?

Every company makes mistakes; Nintendo, Sony, Apple, GM... it doesn't matter where you look. To expound a bit: Sony would ...

So you're suggesting that it doesn't matter how powerful Morpheus is, but how it uses its' hardware that makes it better? Interesting, because people here who claim XB1 will catch the PS4 in terms of fidelity are always met with on paper performance "facts" to show otherwise. You are implying that either a data sheet can be wrong, or that an entirely subjective opinion is more important than any measureable data. Kind of a catch 22 if you think about it.

All you hear is yes it's true?

Sure, I think Hololens is a better device and it will be more successful too. Will it be a better platform for gaming? Most likely not, evidenced by MS support of VR on XB1. Will it sell better? Absolutely. AR is a tool for a myriad of business applications. Hololens may also appeal to some of the tablet/laptop crowd. Gaming applications are a benefit of its design, and are not its primary target.

As for Oculus, it will most...
