They built the console around the cloud, so of course it was supposed to be "always online". Hard to use the cloud without being online. Ignorant, entitled gamers opened their stink-holes and ruined the experience for everyone anyways.
Yep. One of the XB1 launch ads was actually "Beta Tested in the Future". Win10, DX12, Cloud Compute... these were all planned for when XB1 was concieved. Cloudgine will work with anything that has the internet infrastructure in place to support it, which is exactly what MS created when it installed 300,000 servers in Azure.
It's no secret. As the great Ozzy Ozzbourne once said, "All aboard, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!"
When you said cod I immediately thought of "cod in the stream" swimming. Oops.
New Legacy of Cain? Please, reboot Blood Omen's story with The Witcher's open world! No "Oh My Shit Team" though, I can't see those action moments in a game like LoC.
MS needs a Kart racer. Banjo Kart? Like Nuts n' Bolts style creation meets Diddy Kong Racing presentation.
I would not want to be in Total's shoes, but it is a part of life we cannot avoid. I feel empathy for him and all that he'll be going through. The problem I see here(in some of the replies to 1.6) is typical of the human race though... a lack of acceptance of his condition.
People want to save everyone all the time, but saving lives is circumventing God's Will(or the Natural Order). It is his time now for whatever reason, and death is part of life for all of us....
Cinema is 24fps.
Weird thing about the package... the box kept moving to different places when no one was looking.
Geo Mod in Red Faction did it better on PS2, lol. I mean, seriously, 2ft. chunks and a 2d smoke texture? Hell, the pieces don't even have the right mass and an assault rifle was responsible for the damage being done too. Ugh.
It should be the standard. Forced pathways usually make for short, predictable campaigns with little replay value.
Is VR going to win like 3DTV did, or like motion controls did? VR is going nowhere, but will be about as popular as a steering wheel at its peak before the fad dies for gaming. Simply because OR and Hololens are for PC, Morpheus has no chance.
Ironic that a photo can be harder to Photoshop, but it's true.
I'm wondering why the article says, "...and curiously no performance boosts are noted at all for PS4 or XB1." It contradicts the title before you even follow the link.
The parts on my car wear out from day to day use too. So do my shoes, couches, cookware, etc... should I get all new stuff for free? We're talking 2 year old controllers here.
Indeed. Does the button mapping update include dead zone adjustments like the Elite? It should, since it would help out with worn sticks a lot.
The res on both consoles should be higher than this.
DICE needs to do a "power of the cloud" update. Seriously, assuming the cloud does work as advertized, why not use the cloud with an online-only game like Battlefront? Offloading physics would free up local processing for resolution, aa, something.
Publicity?
People do remember bad news more easily than good news, so if it gets banned it'll grab way more attention than a random, dime-a-dozen tech demo. Besides, I bet more people see this anyways just because it's Mario related!
And to be fair, they are changing the whole OS. It's a bit bigger than any of the others so it's bound to need more fixing too.
Well Said. I guess for those who liked to peek at Christmas though this will be a welcome addition. More choice is always a good thing, right?
Nobody want's facts, they wan't subjective opinion based off outdated articles, quotes taken out of context, hatred, and ignorance. You're making it too hard to contradict the truth.
