Game, the quote you pulled only showed that DX12 supports the feature, not that it was implemented in the demo. Show us a quote from the article that states that it was being used in the benchmarks, and not just one that says there's support for it. You are right about the performance margins, both in benchmarks and in practice, at the moment.
It's 75GB... how would it fit on a 50GB disc?
Shadow ≠ framerate. The XB1 does have some framerate dips where the PS4 does not, but they are minor and infrequent.
Both are using Frostbite, the engine behind SW:BF. I would be surprised if the talented people at Bioware didn't create visual masterpieces using Dice's tech. Whether the games will be any good to play, or story-wise is another question entirely, considering that the creative director left.
@Eonjay
Except that Remedy said that the game is not really 720p. Apparently, is uses 4 frames of data and combines them into one image of a higher resolution of 1080p, and nothing like it has ever been done before. Remedy said it's not easy to quantify QB's actual resolution because of this new technology, but that it looks better than a 720p image would.
Like I said in the QB articles, programmers have to make a choice when making their games. If...
I'll agree with you on that. As I stated, they may be the ones that beat the curse of launching peripherals. Sony does seem more focused on PSVR than anything I mentioned in my original post. I think the biggest thing going against VR right now is the price; OR, Vive, and others included. The other thing that is unproven in the VR market is whether or not there will be sustained interest by consumers or if, like other attempts to change how we interact with our games, interest will wane...
Pandamobile, do you know if it was voting for Trump?
They could film it like A Scanner Darkly, or just make it full CG.
Lol! I was going to say it was when they decided to make 4, where they abandoned the controls, pacing, puzzle solving, zombies, Umbrella, S.T.A.R.S., Wesker, and decided to make Leon's quest to save the presidents daughter.
As terrible as the movies are, they are more Resident Evil than any other game from 4 on up. Shinji Mikami originally prototyped Devil May Cry as Resident Evil 3, which is why Alice is like a good version of Wesker(Mikami wanted to show the story how h...
It's more like the first Gears in tone and pacing, which is awesome. The feeling of the unknown, the drakness, the tempo; they were all amazing in the first Gears. I doubt many people will feel alienated that the series is going back to it's roots and innovating from there. Assassin's creed did that in AC3 by stripping out the filler and layering on top of what worked best in terms of gameplay, and it worked well for them(then they ironically ruined it all by dragging the story ...
Replace the words VR in the title with Eye Toy, PS2 HDD, PSP, PS Vita. I don't exactly have faith in the success of anything Sony makes besides the PS4. That "best approach is making games for PSVR" is just that, an approach. I doubt, given their track record, that they will continue support for the long term since their trend is to give up after a while. Their lack of perserverence in making games for the great handheld devices they made led to the death of their handheld marke...
Emulators, as a general rule, take about 10x the overall processing ability of the console they are trying to emulate in order to run properly. Everyone in the industry agreed that there was no way to run BC on either XB1 or PS4 because of how underpowered they both are, and because of how different their architectures are compared to last gen as well. Then MS made it happen in spite of all of these challenges.
Furthermore, there have been other games that ran poorly on BC w...
...and it's not April 1st.
You know Genesis does what Nintendon't. Now all we need is a Dreamcast 2 announcement with a dog shouting "Sega" at the end if it, lol.
How can you play anything on a TV (or in VR) when you can't feel the buttons on this controller? Essentially, you have to look at it every time you want to input a command.
2 million people in the UK disagree with you.
You're not getting three extra episodes for free, which you should be after it took three months to get episode 5. You paid for a five episode season but got a four episode season and the first episode of the next season instead. Everyone who bought the season pass are being ripped off with a shorter than usual four chapter game and a teaser episode for the next four episode season. They are now being "encouraged" into buying more content for another 3 episodes to finish the ne...
Here's a couple questions Overload. How does MS benefit from giving you ANY money from buying your digital titles? Where do you think the digital game goes once MS buys your liscense to use it? Do you think it can be resold like a physical copy for a profit?
Really Commando Bro, you need to relax.
-An Elite controller costs less and has more features than any modded controller on the market, and it's optional.
-Microtransactions in MS games are almost always, if not always optional, so no one who invests in one is getting ripped off. It's their choice if they see value in the purchase.
-What does closing a studio have to do with ripping someone off? MS fired Peter Molyneaux to get the studio back on track ...
Battlefield is not full DX12. Dice announced DX12 support was introduced into their engine more than a year after the game started development, which means it was patched in. PC has shown us that patched DX12 support barely improves performance and in some cases makes it worse.
