Remix, what about those with motion sickness, or those who don't wan't to be closed off from their environment, or have to wear a pair of goggles to play games? I thought VR was about total immersion, not as much immersion as you would like personally. If that's the case I'll take my VR in 2D on a television screen, where I can still socialize with my family and not feek sick when I play games.
From the standpoint of success as a device, VR on a PC supports b...
She obviously doesn't play GTA, Saint's Row, practically any superhero game, Final Fantasy, Devil May Cry, etc., or she'd know those games all sexualize men too. I agree with Spartan Lemur though, I think she should kickstart a game like Magic Mike: Recreational Sports and see how it sells. She has every right and an equal opportunity to make a game that makes her happy, just like Tecmo does, and it also has a right to be sold everywhere so that consumers have the ability to deci...
I just imagined Baymax in a Batman shaped Exosuit...
Or clouded judgement, since the cloud is not used in this game...
Letthewookiewin, Uncharted 4 is 900p for the multiplayer. Are you only going to play single player because the multiplayer is not next gen enough for you?
Phunky, where does it say that it's running on DX12? It takes time to develop a game that runs DX12 natively, not patched in like SW:BF is anyways, so native DX12 games won't pop up overnight. Deus Ex is the first announced game being built from the ground up with DX12. DX12 also needs updates from what's been shown at GDC. Games running on patched DX12 on PC, where we are supposed to see the real performance gains, are barely running any better and in some cases worse than they...
Good to hear, I've been having intermittent problems with chat and having no online dashboard features for a while now.
Nice job digging up the dirt on Ark, but the article was full of s#!+. ;P
Lol. I was going to suggest that Agent 47 take care of the writer.
You're right Gears, it is a gimmick. People act like it's not going to be the same as other failed attempts at adding onto an existing platform. Kinect sold 20 million over it's lifetime and failed. Sony tried to copy/paste the Wii hardware and it failed even though the Wii was a success. Furthermore, Sony tried to enter the handheld market and even that failed because Sony stopped supporting it. Let's be real...
PSVR has no chance of long term success, a...
Great! Now it'll feel like I'm really there, as a dog... humping another dog... oh dear.
The upscaler in the XB1 is much better!
@Unspoken
Brawndo... It's got electrolytes, it's what plants crave.
I got tons of disagrees for suggesting this just the other day, but you're right. The move to Win10 and DX12 is more about unification than it is about the upgrades they bring. The UWP is about eventually bringing the PC and the console together, not removing one from the equation. It explains why MS is talking about future consoles, why those consoles will be upgradeable, and why they will offer forwards compatibility. It explains why MS opened up Live to connect to other gaming netwo...
No kidding! They already announced another console, and are toying around with the idea of making it upgradeable and games with forwards compatibility in mind.
No, lolz is considering those earbuds headphones. It's like saying that the PS4 comes with a chat headset...
XiKura, they could have announced them at the same time so that people would know what the price would be for them. Instead, they imply that $399 will get everyone into PSVR, when the camera is also needed in order to operate it, then stealth-announce a bundle. This was a PR move to make it look more attractive.
Check out that screenshot... talk about minimum coverage!
Hey, Game, you should go read some of the articles about how DX12 is reducing performance of some PC games over their DX11 benchmarks. The API is not matured yet according to MS, who just showed at GDC how many things still need to be fixed in DX12, and devs have no real experience coding for it yet either. It's obvious that there's a lot more to it than your remarks continue to imply, and if you really cared about the topic you would know these things already.
Game, I said it was the first game ANNOUNCED to be built from the ground up using DX12, and it's a FACT that it was. I know QB is DX12 also, but how do you intend to compare it to it's PS4 counterpart when there isn't one? Really man, where do you come up with this stuff?
Anyways, maybe I could have expounded upon my point about Deus Ex's relevance, so here it is: Not only was it the first game announced to be running on a native DX12 engine, but it is also t...
