I would have to say that the building up of trust amongst PC gamers and developers is going to be something that takes a few years minimum. Look at how long it took MS to recover from the XB1 reveal as an example. I think that, based on how MS has turned around the XB1's image, it's likely that MS is on the road to earning that same level of trust from folks like yourself, Rain. The reality, however, is that no one knows for sure how well MS will listen to what PC gamers or develop...
Kind of weird that many reviews are complaining of a hybrid traditional/live action game like Quantum Break, saying they needed to ditch the live action, and now we have a live action only game coming out. Personally, I think it's just fine to see these types of genres being created with outside the box thinking.
You know what? There needs to be a remake for Night Trap and Sewer Shark from the Sega CD!
MS already said, a while ago, that there will be another Xbox. Typically, the design process for the next generation starts as soon as the newest version ships so this is not surprising news. Several years into the design process, I would figure that there are pretty solid plans about key features like resolution and intended release date.
The reality is that this "news" hardly confirms that an XB1.5 is in the works. Because it's potentially a 4k machine, which...
Don't like it? Don't play it! I don't go complaining that Magic Mike sexualizes men, I just didn't watch it. I didn't complain about gay cowboys in Brokeback Mountain, I didn't watch it. I watched the hell out of Spartacus, and it has more sausage than an Oscar Meyer packaging plant. It's about choice, not what people like you tell us to do.
A woman's form is beautiful, and men are beautiful too. Historically significant artwork commonly sh...
I didn't question why the cast was all female as much as why they all seemed to be girl versions of the original crew. Besides that, their inability to deliver their lines coupled with the predictability of the script left me feeling like I was just covered in ectoplasm. I think the Total Recall reboot will still be better than this movie, which is sad.
Now, with that said, we have a movie-game coming out based off of this? Historically, games based off of movies are ba...
The Spirit of RE2:
•Slow pacing with only a few enemies at a time.
•Camera angles that create tension and atmosphere.
•Careful management of resources.
•Slow, traditional character movement to enhance tension in combat.
•Surprise water cooler moments to keep you on your toes.
•None of the BS from Resident Evil 4 on up.
I'm sure, Mr. Sweeny, that MS put the whole conference together just to pull the wool over your eyes. They're going to invest millions into making the platform open like you'd asked them to, just to get the last laugh when they close it off like a venus fly trap once you've entered. I guess MS should've taken the stage and held up a legally binding contract showing their commitment to building an open platform to satisfy you?
If the UWP is going to be su...
More importantly, how much shade does a duck produce?
Your point of view makes a lot of sense when you put it that way. I'm curious about the timeline associated with DX12 updates like FL12.1 and Shader Model 6 being put out in the fall though; statements like that from the GDC presentation seem to suggest that MS doesn't have DX12 running thw way they would like at the moment. I know that DX12 will continue to evolve anyways, but I had assumed that when it launched in October, that FL12.1 was already supported in the API.
The age affecting boob physics was present in the original DOA as well. When said that you were 99 years old, their boobs were just ridiculously funny to watch.
ME 1 had more loot and better equipment options, while ME2 had better gameplay. If they could keep the pacing of the combat from ME2, while adding more loot at the shops (and from side quests, boss drops, secrets, etc.) and the ability for anyone to equip anything again, I think it would be perfect.
TBH, it did get kind of annoying in ME1 that practically every enemy dropped stuff that you needed to stop and compare to your current gear, but ME2 oversimplified the loot sys...
I'm curious how far in the future from the days of Shepard this would have to be. The Reapers built the Mass Relays one at a time, and physically travelled to another Relay location in order to build each and every one and create the original Relay infrastructure. It would take many thousands, if not millions of years to rebuild the Relays in the this way.
Perhaps this is some other pre-existing technology created by someone other than the Reapers?
Of course some people will find a reason to buy an upgraded version of something because... wait for it... things that are upgraded have new capabilities!
Crazy, right?
Here's one big reason why it might be bad though:
What if Sega does make a Dreamcast 2? If that rumor is true, all of the Atlus library would become exclusive to their new console. That's good for Sega, but bad for gamers who would have to buy a new system to play Atlus games like Persona.
A couple of things I found to be very interesting:
Phil says late in the interview that if you look at DX adoption in any given generation, it takes at least a year, sometimes two, before you see full implementation of all the new features and for them to be used well. That's because the early games that come out suffer through the learning curve of figuring all of the new technology out. In these early stages, most devs are simply porting the previous API and trying to...
You wouldn't have said any of this if you'd watched the video.
Black Tusk was asked if they wanted to keep going with their project and it was their choice to make Gears instead, so they were not forced. Rod Fergusson worked on all of the other Gears and made all of the employees play all the games and read all the books before work started so the team would understand how to approach a sequel. Buying the game rights from Epic gave the team more creative freedom to...
Braveheart, live action is a "relic" of Remedy, who used it both in Max Payne and Alan Wake. They like the idea of combining the two media and always have. I don't see that MS and their TV push had much to do with Remedy's decisions about storytelling like you suggest.
Really happy to see that Gears is in the right hands. Now if only it were in my hands right now so I could play through it... I can't wait!
Don't know if I need Cortana for that. I just hop onto the Edge browser and search online, which takes maybe two seconds longer than having Cortana do it IMO. I'm not saying I don't see the value in voice commands with an AI assistant though. Not having to open up menus to start a party, send an invite to someone, save a video clip, etc. are all very useful and I'm sure Cortana is smart enough to figure out lots of other stuff too.
So you're saying that this company has a short Fuze? I for one reFuze to believe it has any chance of success and that it'll just blow up in their faces.
