It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

Wii sold well, so did Kinect. At the end of the day, both ended up just being fads because people wanted traditional gaming instead. People will not want to play VR for long periods of time due to fatigue, will end up playing games on regular TV's more often as the newness wears off, and will eventually forget about the VR experience entirely. Personally, I seldom use my audio headset anymore for gaming in spite of what it adds to the experience, because it needs to be dragged out of th...

WakeNbake, every numbered Forza is 60fps, and starting with Forza 2 physics runs at 360 fps as well. Quit trolling. Also, Gears MP is in Pre-Alpha so it's not expected to look like that come launch day.

I have a feeling that Jesus may have slightly more important prayers to answer than putting a screen on a Nintendo controller. TBH, the thought of praying for that reminds me of making a 911 prank call.

You mean, Leon's quest to sve the President's daughter from a parasite from outer space? No Umbrella, no S.T.A.R.S., no Wesker, no zombies, no meaningful puzzle solving... Yeah. So,"what are you selling", Capcom?

It might be a great game to some people but it was the absolute worst Resident Evil in terms of story. Resident Evil Gaiden on Gameboy had more to do with the series than RE4 did, LOL. Hell, even the movies had more appropriate stories, since an A...

The parts of an image where I see a big difference in 4K video reside within finer textures like the particular pattern of print on clothing or brickwork at a distance, for example, where there tends to be rather noticeable pixelation at 1080p. Smoother surfaces like cars and faces don't have much difference though.

As far as 4K gaming goes it doesn't seem to be necessary to run AA as high because of the increased pixel density, which is nice because it reduces the a...

If you can actually sctatch a Blu Ray disc, let me know. I've seen tens of thousands of them over the years I managed my Gamestop, and maybe a dozen had any scratches at all. I love those things!

I've been saying this forever, but too many people around here think DX12 is just a switch and once MS added it to the XB1 and PC last fall everything should just instantly improve. These same individuals ignore the fact that many DX12 patched games don't run any better, and sometimes worse.

I'll say it again:

•MS first had to add the API to the console and PC so devs could start using it.
•It takes time to learn the code and patching t...

Thanks for that, I never knew they did that to the book series. Ironically, now I know where Wally is, lol!

Why does the article say that a wireless controller is a must have accessory, when it is the standard controller included in the purchase of the system?

Anyways, for less than the price of this WIRED charge cable ($10 on sale) and one battery I've got a wall charger and 4AA 2500mah rechargeable Energizer batteries. When one set dies I put it on the charger and get another 35-40 hours on the new set... and I'm always wireless. I still get 20 hours or so with a stere...

Eonjay, make sure when you buy a 4k tv that it supports the HDR and Wide Color features or the main benefits of a new system may slip right through your fingers. Keep in mind too that 8k sets are looming on the horizon as we speak.

10th Rider, BC for the PS4 would be really expensive. Since the Cell cannot be emulated on the much weaker CPU of the PS4, the processor would need to be put onboard to run PS3 games. I just can't see that being a benefit in lieu of the cost involved to get it done. They could better use that money to upgrade to 4k blu ray, and add more memory or processing to aid PS4 games.

Only thing I can see that may contradict what I said is perhaps the Cells can somehow be used as...

The reasons Playstation was successful with PS1 was N64 was delayed for so long and PS1 was disc based, the latter of which made it more profitable for developers and offered FMV for the first time as well. The shift in technology allowed for the market to expand in ways a cartridge based system just couldn't manage to do. As this happened, Sony built up a solid library of exclusives to support it's positive momentum. It was a paradigm shift in the industry.

The reaso...

Not really. I'm sure that the game will sell well enough that there will be a 5 and 6 so there's nothing to worry about. I may be misremembering, but I'm pretty sure they planned this as a trilogy just like the first set was.

Foxtrot makes it sound like a threat but the reality is it's just business. If for some reason Gears 4 sells horribly maybe MS will shelve it and let The Coalition make something else, like the game Black Tusk showed briefly at the XB1...

They did that with the news reporter in Chappie, along with using product placement for Sony TV's, laptops, phones, and PS4's. I know the movie was made by Colombia Tristar, a division of Sony, but it got really annoying after a while because it was so pervasive, and other products like the Imprezza even had their badging removed.

You did not say anything bad about Gears or what they have planned because you didn't say anything about Gears at all... which makes it not relevant to the topic at hand. Like I said, on topic, Gears microtransactions do not contain items that are locked behind a paywall so anyone can access all the items in the game without spending a dime. It's not defensive, it's the truth.

Mr. Sec, nice to see that you feel entitled enough to call someone else's opinion ridiculous then defend your own like it matters more than theirs does. Very mature, but with that said...

Why do you keep going on about Gears 4 being in beta when, as others have already stated, Rod says it's not even in the beta stages yet? They are testing out the game's functions, not what it will look like when it's finished. Also, if you don't like Gears and would rathe...

Except that nothing in Gears 4 is locked down behind a paywall since you earn the same crates that you can buy. We also know virtually nothing about the length of the campaign or the DLC The Coalition has planned. Honestly, I'm not sure how your comment is even relevant to the topic at hand.

More like who cares about reading the article? If you'd bothered to read the artcle, you would have understood the context of "not taking story too seriously." It was very interesting to read about all of the influences guiding the production of Gears 4, and to see how the series evolved over time to become what it is today. You should really read it.
