It's not that I love MS... It's that I like Sony less.

I was good until I saw Snap Map DLC. I hope they don't charge people to be creative, but it's pretty sweet to consider how all the scripting options will influence the editing process!

So you would rather pay again for a game you already played and enjoyed once, instead of having a new game in the series? You should really elaborate a bit more when you post so people aren't left guessing about how you really feel.

I had a surge come through my house many years ago and fry my DVD player and 360 even though they were supposed to be protected. All I had to do for my 360 was buy a new brick and plug it in, so I was gaming again within a few hours. My DVD player, with shipping and repair costs, wasn't even worth fixing. I don't understand why someone would consider having a user serviceable part that is never seen anyways, doesn't incur labor and shipping costs to repair, has virtually no downt...

I hadn't given any thought to BC extending the life of online gaming with 360 titles before. It's good to hear that people still on last gen aren't just being left out in the cold.

Thanks for your contribution. If the general conscensus is that BC is not a feature that people are interested in, why talk about remaking a game in the first place? If you enjoyed it before you should be able to enjoy it again when you feel like it because you already own it. We live in a world of throwaway technology though, and it's rather sad. I own every system and game I have ever purchased, and I play them from time to time for the nostalgia. The old games are amazing, and shoul...

You do realize that some people don't care as much as you do about resolution, which is only one aspect of graphics fidelity anyways(XB1 supports 10bit HEVC for example, which PS4 does not)? I would much rather have my weaker XB1 than play with a controller that I don't like on a console without the exclusives that I personally want to play. Castillo is right with his perefrences from my perspective, but we all have our own opinions about these things, don't we? If I really only...

How about Namco just makes a new game in each genre instead of a remake?

There are plenty of ways for people to lose money on gaming already. They're called Microtransactions.

Sony's boomerang controller would come right back to someone throwing it in anger!

I can't believe that the Duke was a smaller version of the prototype Dakota controller either! Who did they expect to be using it, bigfoot?

Not really, PS Guy. I did say that I thought they were both kind of ugly. PS4 reminds me of wheel chocks with the slanted front that it has, that's all. XB1 OTOH, is too plain and boxy looking. In my opinion though, I think consoles should look like they belong in an entertainment center at this point.

As I stated, Bitby, the video had already been removed so I didn't see it. Having seen a new video posted just a few minutes ago, I can tell you that it does indeed look pretty bad at this point. You can read my thoughts over in that thread if you're interested.

The gameplay looks fantastic! I feel like I'm reuniting with an old friend and can't wait until fall to get into the campaign! That said...

Based on some of the comments in other threads, and having seen this video now, I can see why people think the game doesn't look that good visually though. If you look closely at the textures, a lot of the texture layers would appear to have been turned off for the beta in order to maintain the 60 fps target needed to properl...

Is it hard to imagine that MS might be doing a Slim console revision with an upgraded Blu Ray player and a few other additions... Like Sony is rumored to be doing with the rumored "PS4K"? The PS4K rumors have been all over here lately too, so I'm not seeing the harm in having XB1.5 conversation every once in a while, and given the recent FCC slip it appears that something new IS in the works from MS anyways.

@ Uncharted supporters

So uncharted's MP is at 900p, right, while Gears is native 1080p. Funny that when the situation is reversed all of the sudden the resolution doesn't matter anymore and it's the effects and other details that matter more. Ironically, when QB announced it wasn't native 1080p though, in spite of the amazing visuals, oh man did people have a field day! Hypocrite much?

I can't see the video because it's been removed...

I guess the people posting negative comments about graphics here don't remember the E3 reveal from last year, or the recent screenshots from Game Informer either. Both looked really good, but haters gonna hate anyways. I would LMAO if the "CGI" trailer turned out to be using in game assets though, because right now there's been no mention of the trailer being CGI other than by people posting on this site. All of the other Gears trailers from the other games looked like in ga...

XB1 looks like it belongs in an entertainment center. PS4 looks like it belongs in a garage, keeping your car from rolling away when you're working underneath it. If anything, the XB1 looks a little bit to minimalistic for my tastes though and they're both kind of ugly.

For gaming, yes, VR is the way to go right now. AR is targeting a different segment than gaming though. It can do gaming, but was not built for it specifically. Perhaps in future iterations of AR, the FOV will be improved and replace VR entirely, given the fact that AR can effectively block out the environment within its field of view and become VR as well.

Maybe Oculus VR will work on XB1 through the cloud based Irides software after all. Let's see what news E3 brings this year!

I'm having a hard time figuring out your getting disagrees, since Hololens does in fact cost $3000. MS already said it's not a consumer level device yet, and is being geared towards businesses as of right now.

Since you can do the same thing with Oculus Rift, Magiciandude should just buy one of those and get VR on the PC as well.
