What about Sea of Thieves? It's Pirated, and I can download that when it releases. ;P
According to your logic MS didn't agree with themselves and vetoed their own certification? That's just ridiculous.
BTW, read Number 9's comment below. Remember, emulators are legal which is why consoles like the Retrocon can exist.
Removing the Nesbox from Xbox certification is arrogant? Please enlighten us with your wisdom.
According to many people around here, that's the right thing to do, and I didn't see anywhere in this article that MS was approached by Ninty and asked to remove it (which doesn't sound like arrogance to me). As I said above, I'm more curious about how Nesbox was approved in the first place if MS didn't intend to make it available on XB1 though. I'm hopi...
I don't know why people would disagree with you. It's true, and evidence can easily be found that supports your claims. Retrocon is a perfect example of legal hardware emulation of classic consoles.
Phuc, I would have to assume that you're right on the money. I see no other reasonable outcome, given the limited information provided in the tweets.
What I'm confused about currently is the fact that the previous articles about Nesbox said it had passed certification already. Wouldn't that mean that MS had looked at the emulator and approved it in a configuration that would specifically play on XB1? I'm curious as to what may have changed since the initi...
Because there's more reason to be mad at Sony for not allowing mods, and Bethesda's games are still some of the best around.
Kingthrash, you're ignorant as usual. Honestly, how do you get by in life when you act like this? We're talking about Sony screwing up with the Pro. You don't think they did and I disagree, so that's the topic you and I are discussing. What MS did 3 years ago has no bearing on Sony's decisions with the PS4 Pro. Besides, I already acknowledged that MS screwed up too, never said you didn't present facts, and never called the Pro a failure either. It's a mistake...
Get over yourself, Kingthrash, you're just showing your fanboy when you do things like call journalism that shares your opinion of things "real news", and everything else that contradicts it "opinion". Most of it IS opinion, but the vast majority of opinion, swings in favor of the Pro being a trainwreck.
The facts are:
•GCN 1.1 and Jaguar limited how much Sony could do with the Pro and still ensure FC, hence no UHD player support....
Lol. Since it's been confirmed that Sony used GCN 1.1 in the Pro, which doesn't support H.265 encode, they can't even support UHD Blu Ray. They had no choice. They didn't make it cheaper, they made it cheap because Sony used outdated tech (also cheap) to make the OG PS4 in the first place. Meanwhile, MS worked with AMD to make a prototype for the Polaris architecture and put that into the XB1 (evidenced by 3 years of new GPUs slowly adding features of the XB1 GPU), could su...
They're not, as Confvz3d said in the other thread, "sex load times" anymore... unless you're Forrest Gump. Sorry Jenny, I didn't mean to!
Did you know that if you research Armageddon you'll find that it's actually just the end of and era, or age, meaning that it's really the death of organized religion that the Bible is warning against? Religious groups fear this more than anything else, but society needs it more than anything else, because religion is the single greatest source of violence and death in the history of mankind. Other apocalyptic prophecies also contribute to this theory as well.

Sex load... eww.
Poppinslops, if you still own the carts, you can legally use the rom files you download for those games. No thieving required! Playing files you DON'T own is the illegal part. Seriously though, how else will you even play your old game consoles on a contemporary TV? Most TV's today lack any analog inputs for old consoles, and if those games are things I own then I have every right to emulate them as I am left with no other good alternative.
Yes, Mike Tyson's Punch out!
@Rain
What about emulators running on Android or IOS? Those are closed systems too, yet they exist.
Also, the emulators are legal. Even the roms are legal if you own the original games. It's only pirating software that isn't legal. I own a bunch of games for my old systems that I can now (soon) LEGALLY play on my XB1 if I choose. That said...
I'm not ignorant to the fact that most of us will pirate the software that gets ...
When I asked for thoughts, I was looking for comments, not just agree/disagrees...
MS made games on PC long before there was an Xbox, and Sony Imagesoft made games for the SNES. They all have been around for a long time, but Ninty beats them by a few years, sure.
There can be only one commentator...
Really, Cobra? It was MS who certified the emulator for the UWP. Instead of using "common semse" try reading about it, that usually works better.
Right, Shiva. ID@Xbox is why I mentioned Number 9's comment, but thanks for the heads up. Aside from that, there is no list of "should not be released" roms because they'd all be on it. MS can only legally release the emulator.
JB227, if you'd at all read what I posted, and followed through by reading Number 9's comment below as well, you wouldn't look so ridiculous posting your assumptions about Nintendo getting involved. Seriously, there...
