Read what I posted, please.
I clearly stated that it is only Yakuzas' graphics that suck and that the game is still enjoyable in spite of the horribly dated look the engine presents. The comparison to GTA was pretty obviously about the engine, not the gameplay. Yakuza should be Yakuza, not GTA, and my friend wouldn't appreciate it very much if Yakuza became a GTA clone either.
If you'd not fanboyed out about something I'd never said in t...
Why does the city look so bad, especially around the 30 second mark? PS4 is capable of so much more than this; just look at GTA V for an open world comparison. GTA V is several years old, a port of a last gen release, and multiplatform, and it still looks way better than this. I'm pointing this out because the article is about the "brand new" graphics engine. The game series has a cult following because of its entertainment value and yes, it will still be just as much fun w...
Touché!
Maybe I should I say Douché instead.
Why are your eyes so loud?
Right, Gumby. Titanfall 1 would have been different if it was multiplatform, but since it wasn't multiplatform Respawn utilized MS' networks to run certain cloud features and make the game better. I wonder why Sony doesn't seem to offer the cloud to developers who want to use it?
It's just awesome how much customization there is in Horizon 3. I don't know about you guys, but I don't play the Motorsport games nearly as much as the Horizon games these days. Playground is the bomb.
Off Topic: Anyone heard that Playground is working on a new game that's not Forza? I'd heard that rumor before the FH3 reveal (about a year ago?), and a review of FH3 recentlyly mentioned this again. I'd originally suggested it should be Forza R...
Ironic that XB1 controller support for Gear VR gets announced in the wake of the Trump debacle with Oculus.
Yes he does. Capcom can never be number one when all they do is "drop deuces". I'd say you can't polish a turd, but Mythbusters proved that you actually can so I guess anything's possible, lol!
Planet scanning in Mass Effect 3 really sucked.
That's the top 50 in Japan, where the Xbox brand doesn't sell at all. To crack the top 50 under those circumstances means that Japanese gamers are enjoying Recore quite a bit, actually. Yes, Master C, about the same metacritic as The Order (a $60 game), which many people also loved in spite of the reviews. Metacritic is not the greatest judge of character for the games we may enjoy anyways. Hell, Too Human was still one of my favorite games of last generation, and I think it revie...
Interesting that Remedy now has all the tools in place to make higher quality games more quickly as a result of the technology created to make Quantum Break.
Honestly, Rainslacker, I am making an assumption about HLG but here's why:
With the research I've done to find out how HDR can be done through a 1.4 output, HLG seems to be the only reasonable conclusion to be drawn. HDR10 is HDMI 2.0a only, and that standard didn't exist when PS4 was built. Dolby Vision works through 1.4, but is proprietary and requires liscensing hardware which neither Sony or MS did as far as I can tell. HLG works via 1.4 and supports 1080p ...
Exactly, and there's no sign of clickbait anywhere. Not sure who would disagree with you except for fanboys not wanting to hear the truth.
I can't be the only one that sees the irony in Pachter calling someone else an arrogant twit!
You guys haven't mentioned how the One S is doing HDR, vs. how the PS4 is getting an update. One S is using HDMI2.0a and HDR10 for HDR. The PS4 is using HDMI1.4, and is using the least supported format of HDR, HLG. HLG doesn't support the (practically) industry standard protocols and most HDR tv's don't support it either... but what do you know! As luck would have it Sony's got you covered, as they updated their tv's for HLG in April. So now, unless you have a Sony...
Notice they didn't mention the FPS difference in the headline? Pure clickbait.
With that aside, I agree with you. The game should allow the user the option of 900p/60 or 1080p/30. I think in this instance that 1080p would be more appropriate than 60FPS. If it were a competitive multiplayer game or a racing game that may be different, but either way, options are always welcome and consoles should have them more often. Pro and Scorpio will likely start a new paradigm...
Yeah, 2/5 is ridiculous, and I was confused by his condescension towards just about every feature that goes beyond just racing. Then, to top it all off, he says he's not a fan of having to drive precisely through checkpoints all the time.
So he doesn't like ancilliary stuff to micro-manage and wants more racing and sim, but doesn't want to be bothered with "strict rules" regarding checkpoints? IMO, it sounds like this guy just hates on one brand of...
Fitting that it ends with a whimper, since Telltale screwed everyone who bought the season pass for episodes 1-5 by giving them a four episode story and the first episode of the next story instead of one complete five episode game. Way to rob children, and parents of them, with your BS Telltale.
It is if you like bumber car simulation physics. ;P
The franchise is planning on creating Mass Effect 4? I didn't realize Dragon Age was capable of making games! Also, it's been called ME: Andromeda for quite a while now.
Hey, Techno Aisle, if you need another monkey who can press keys, PM me. I've got no qualifications to be a journalist either! Just sayin'...
