That's what Win10 and DX12 does. It's easier to port, easier to scale to the platform, and it automatically detects FL Levels to leverage the unique HW of the plaform that it runs on.

PC's have emulators, for one, and you just contradicted yourself when you acknowledged that the emulators on Xbox were taken down. Can I make a powerpoint, produce music, edit my photos and movies, download files, etc.? Nope, because it's not a PC.
They are making development easier, and encouraging more games come to both the Xbox and PC. Plain and simple.
$400 doesn't seem out of line. Sony did that this year with Pro, and in another 12 months MS should be able to squeeze the extra juice out of Scorpio for a similar cost. We'll obviously have to see exactly what it does in terms of performance and features to be sure of its' price, but I couldn't see it over $500 at most.

If that's the case, Joe, why did Sony only patch HDR into the PS4 and not 4K streaming as well? I thought you said the chip did all of the heavy lifting so why not? Sony knew the 1S does 4K streaming and HDR, yet still left it out of the update even though you need a 4K TV to display HDR? Something isn't right, either with your logic, with the chips' capabilities, or with Sony's need to want you to upgrade to the Pro to display anything in 4K. I don't know which.
