FYI, no one in the states really takes them seriously either.
It's not like there were a ton of Western games before Red Dead anyways, so one could make a case that R* didn't kill the genre, but defined it. Look at it this way, GTA didn't kill the open world genre, right?
I guess that's cool, but if fans only get character customization if they want it enough then what does that say about Kingdom Hearts 3 in general? Going by that logic, one can assume Kingdom Hearts 3 must not be wanted enough because it was debuted at the PS3 launch and fans still haven't gotten it yet.
Yeah, I was going to mention Just Cause, and San Andreas was pretty massive as well. Playing in a game world where a train is the fastest mode of transportation could make such a massive world feel a bit overwhelning. Let's not forget how lifeless some parts of San Andreas felt because it was so big. That said, I think R* knows how to do open world well enough to strike a balance between size and gameplay.
... or sink it to new lows. It's like throwing a dart while blindfolded and expecting a bullseye.
Kokyu,
All I ever seem to hear is keep your old systems if you want to play your old games. Why would I want to do this, only to have a clutter of systems hanging out under the TV? Ironically, the people who are saying this are the same people who complain that an inconspicuous power brick behind the TV or external HDD are ridiculous notions in this day and age. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Which is worse, a wallet sized HDD or an entire system sitting o...
I agree, Fox.
It would make sense to have GTA Online a separate entity if Rockstar stops caring about the single player experience because of it. Rockstar hasn't done a whole lot with GTAV single player compared to its' predecessors, TBH, so I can see the validity in your point.
Yes, those dark days where Sony and MS were pretty much even the whole generation, and DVD based games looked better than when they were on Blu Ray. It's a shame that the 360's architecture was so complex that they couldn't manage to include BC this generation either... /sarcasm
It's a rumor, but I can't see Nintendo waiting too much longer to reveal it.
Right, muzik guy, and now Sony is being forced to do it because people prefer the features of the 1S over the Slim. Looks like Sony is losing momentum, at least for a while.
Not sure about your argument, Indy. Xbox sales were up %1000 over sales prior to the 1S launch, and were 360% higher than PS4 sales. That's still significantly greater than the 380% boost Sony is seeing withi their fire sale.
Only thing that really matters though is that they are both still selling well ATM.
On top of that, it's only supoosed to be a few weeks until the reveal.
Tomb Raider on Pro is apparently using XB1 assets, at least accordingto some articles, but compares poorly to the PC in 4K regardless. It's too early to say if this will be normal of checkerboard rendering in general though.
Okay, if none of us understand you, why don't you elaborate on why it should only be $19.99?
Apparently not. The cloud helps any device that can connect to a proper cloud network. The cloud is simply extra processing that sums with the internal processing of a device, which means that XB1 will benefit just like Scorpio will. In Crackdown 3 MS claims to have 20 XB1's worth of cloud power to render physics, so that's roughly 25tf, but 25tf is only four times greater than that of Scorpio so XB1 actually gets a proportionately greater benefit.
Do you also know how to write *spoiler alert*? That would have been nice of you.
This is cool, but when I'd read the title I'd assumed that Rare made a soundbyte for achievements.
They who? MS? This is an independent developer, not MS, giving thoughts on how they want to use Scorpio's power. MS gave 3rd parties the choice on how to use it, remember? 4K/60 uncompromised is specifically for MS 1st party releases at launch.
Unbelievable indeed, SMH.
Moonman, MS said specifically that they weren't abandoning XB1 when they said, "no one get's left behind". Project Scorpio was also announced as a system built for complete compatibility with all XB1 titles, no exclusives besides perhaps VR titles (Oculus just announced that Rift can run on very low power computers through interpolation, which may now also include OG XB1), true 4K gaming and media capabilities, and an advanced architecture contemporary to some of the most c...
