I agree, but Nintendo isn't doing great. They had enough exclusive software to stay in business but the N64, Gamecube, Wii U, and probably the Switch are all failures. Sony knows what they are doing. Nintendo does not.
You have some valid points but Tomb Raider sales picked up significantly after the holidays in spite of the horrible launch numbers, so it was successful game, a fact you omitted in your rant. You also acknowledged that Tomb Raider launched at a bad time on XB1 then praised it's successful launch on PC and PS4 when there was no real competition for sales. I'm not sure how you believe Tomb Raider launching months earlier than Uncharted could possibly have had any influence on the sale...
Thanks, Corndog. You were one of the people who told me it does in fact tie into the story arc of the previous games and I greatly appreciate that!
Sounds interesting, but are you going to play RE7? 😉
I can see how much potential the game has now, and I felt a lot like the author describes his own feelings at the outset of the article. From the review, as well as conversation I've recently had with others, I think I judged Capcom a bit too harshly for the direction RE7 appeared to be taking the series. It actually does bear a distinct resemblence to the classic RE, at least now that I know it has "ties" to the RE story. Kudos to Capcom for actually keeping those ties to th...
Edit: On second thought, it's not worth it to even debate why my posts weren't inappropriate, IDK.
Corndog, Edmix, you may be right in the long run. I've been burned by the series one too many times to have faith in it yet though. I'll rent it when it comes out and give it a try, but I don't want to play the demo. You guys did inform me of a few details I was unaware of, so thanks for that!
Changes:
no zombies
no Stars
no Umbrella
I will admit it's more RE than any of the action BS that started with RE4 though.
Couldn't agree more. Besides your point, lool at the article for a second. How can we go from, "...taking the series back to it's roots" to, "...reinvent the survival horror series"? Which one is it? It can't possibly be both.
Unfortunately for us RE fans, capcom chose the latter. I've said it before: RE4 ruined the franchise and 7 doesn't have a clue about recapturing the essence of the original concept of the series. Someone...
Yep. Sony did the same thing with other titles like Killzone for PS3 and Uncharted 4 for PS4 too. I told everyone when Horizon debuted that the game wouldn't look like that when it released. TBH, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony ran Horizon on a Pro dev kit last year though, because the LOD on everything looks worse now.
OT: I still looks like a great game to play if you happen to be a PS4 owner, and it's the one game Sony is coming out with that I'm disa...
I got 32 gigs of HBM under my dome! 😎
When I said that, people around here told me I was delusional and just lying to make myself feel good about my decision to purchase an XB1. The only PS exclusive title I enjoy though is Uncharted, but Horizon looks interesting as well.
Halo, Gears, Forza though? Yes please. Great stories, great MP, great customization (FM, Halo). Would I like more diversity though? Absolutely, everyone wants more choices, but I want more choices of games that I like to play and Xbox h...
I guess you missed the myriad of articles about the other tweets? Phil already said they have new IP in the works and possibly even a new Mech Assault game. I'll bet you some of the unannounced stuff will even be coming out for the Scorpio launch, since Phil mentioned at last year's E3 that MS had more games to talk about that they weren't showing yet.
After Phil's teaser, I'm banking on MS releasing a Mech Assault trailer as well, and there's a chance that it might even release in time for the Scorpio launch.
The headline says, "buy" , not preorder. The author states that it's most concerning that you can't buy it yet to play the Switch but mentions that the system isn't available until March. I found ironic because he can't play the system without the system.
You are correct about Nintendo and their forced shortages. They did it with the Wii Systems and Wii Pro controllers as well as a few other things.
The best way to play a Switch is actually to own the console, but it's not available yet either. What's the point of having a controller now?
💪 😀 👊
Thank you, I have my moments!
Seroiusly, to everybody still saying that Scorpio won't be native 4k just stop. AMD says it takes less than 4x more processing to render 4k over 1080p. Scorpio is at least 4.5x more powerful than XB1 at 6tf. Making an educated guess from here is child's play. Can someone show me any evidence to the contrary?
@ Stuna
Sure, Scorpio CAN use checkerboard rendering, but it won't always need to, even when the Pro does, because it's more powe...
