The reason I go with the studios is there's likely not that many gamers that have seen this cover anyway and it also takes effort to complain - many don't complain even when there's a genuine issue let alone something as mundane as a bit of non issue art.

And why isn't the media, that loves to stir things up as much as possible, not linking to these over sensitive groups - there's nothing on Twitter, Facebook or even n4g so where's it all coming from? ...

I recently got caught out by Microsoft regarding digital only.

I have a Lumia 925 Windowsphone and had to cold reset it due to an app that froze the phone and normal resetting wasn't clearing it (audible app).

Followed the instructions to restore the phone only to find lots of apps couldn't be restored as they were no longer available.
I complained to MS but all they could offer was refunds as there is no way I can get my old apps back.

I think this is just yet another case of the studio putting out artificial controversy to the media to create title awareness and free publicity.

But dropping from your TV's native 1080p resolution to having to stretch / duplicate pixels automatically causes blurring.
If you took at 1080p photo then resized to 900p then stretched to 1080p you'd really notice what a difference it makes.

A game with lots of side to side / panning motion will always look blurred at 30fps compared to the TV's native 60. It's not noticed as much with slower movement which is why it can be put up with in some games b...

I think she suing the wrong devs as there's a much closer likeness in Wolfenstein: The New Order!

I wonder if Sony will start force advertising the game like on PS3

So sick of seeing the ad page I'd never buy it whatever the system.

I've played a number of free to play games such as Need for Speed World where you have to buy the cars and components etc - that's fine but I don't agree with this when I've already paid full price ie. in Grid 2 you couldn't compete in certain events without buying extra cars, GT6 high car pricing and low race wins means you run out of cash even if you win everything.
I purchased all the cars in GT5 but there's no way I will be able to get anywhere near that in...

The biggest joke is they go on about piracy but how did it get onto Pirate Bay and the likes in the 1st place.
Most devs work on closed networks which means the code has to be taken physically from the premises then passed onto the pirates - that's criminal theft yet do we hear about any police activity? NO!
So maybe this Patrick Klug could tell us how the cracked version got to Pirate Bay rather than going on about how gamers are always at fault.

I wish it could bring back those RTCW days but some of the best bits were in multiplayer (especially some of the awesome user made maps)

I've never looked at single player games as must haves on release. If it's fun now it will be fun in a years time while multiplayer might be fun on release but could have dead servers in a years time.

But not nearly as awesome as the fluid 60fps high quality PC version.

A series and a remake are quite different: Space Invaders, Pacman etc are remakes while Wolfenstein 1981 for example is a series.

I understand your point but there's another area where the online only purchase can be an issue and that's when you've purchased something, deleted it for whatever reason, then can't re-download at some point.

This was brought home to me just recently when I had to reset my Window Phone. I followed all the backup and restore procedures but it turns out you can only backup a list of your apps rather than the apps themselves.
The problem then was either ...

Just having a look on Gametracker and there are more PC players playing Cod 4 (on nice dedicated servers) than PS3 players playing Op2 or Ghosts!

The OS and hardware manufacturers said it was dead because they wanted you to look to buy their closed system and pay so much more for games.
The big publishers kept shouting piracy as the big excuse to push you you to game on a closed system.

Many PC gamers even gave consoles a try as some of the big publishers (that also happen to manufacture the hardware) pushed out console only exclusives.

But you just can't beat the PC for game quality, the w...

I too got into gaming a long time ago, 1st was a Fairchild console but my next games machine was the Atari 800 which opened so much more game genres as well as learning to program etc.
Once I'd gone from console to computer I could never go back but it's fair to say I was as fascinated by the technology as much as the games so it was a natural progression into PC's after the Amiga.

I remember plugging in my 1st 3DFX graphics card - the wow factor factor w...
