FVI would be absolutely epic as a remake.
7 is fine, but VI would be incredible.
I don't give a flying eff if the game FFv13 is mulitplat or not.
Not one bit. A great game is a great game. Period.
The only thing I do care about is if they sacrafice some of the game for the development of the mulitplat.
With FFXIII looking weaker than we all expected, I will still be weary of FFv13. Square does not get the free pass with me like it has in the past.
Its not the biggest deal in the whole world for Xboxers, but it is a fun game.
I enjoyed playing it quite a bit. Its playing a fairy tale.
White is easily the best option to vote for.
Pure White is more difficult to achieve than Pure Black.
So get out there, rack up the white world events and then plunge it all in Pure Black...the way the game was supposed to be played...
Foxgod:
There are a few out there on all systems. Most go unnoticed by the majority of consumers because its not on the hype train.
Perhaps one day the industry and more importantly the consumer will evolve over the: my game has better graphics; mine sold more copies; mine got ranked higher by people no more or less qualified than anybody else; my console is better than yours; my console sold more...mindset.
The only thing that matters about graphics is if it helps the experience. Want proof? Throw in some old SNES games, Im sure there are some you still enjoy playing. Zelda, MarioWorld, FFVI, Secret of ...
I would sure like to play Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake on my Ps3. Those are the only two games with the exception of Lost Oddessy that I would want an Xbox for.
I promised myself I wouldn't play the demo for Heavy Rain.
Im still holding to that, but its difficult.
I want ever scene, sounds and experience to be the first when I throw that game in.
The idea of talking with a GF about the finer points of Demon's Souls is so foreign to me I can't even comprehend it.
Slimes in there is greatness.
"A SLIME APPROACHES!"
I did like the shout out to Locke in FFVI, though there are many characters that deserve to be remembered Locke is a good choice.
With a re-write and a re-make, this game would be beyond the epic that it already is.
This movie is pure greatness.
Everytime I hear "Send me an Angel", I crack up.
Hmm, how about their website ripping off ones who actually know about games and know that regenerate health and cover systems came from other games.
Idiots.
I wish it wasn't a sequal.
I wish it were a game in the same style as Demon's Souls. I don't want the guys at From Software to be limited by the constructs of the first game.
The dude from From Software said a few months ago that he would like to do a game in the same style as Demon's Souls. In other words, it may not be a sequal to DS because the previous contemplates it is not in production.
BldyShdw:
Why compare? Because you can bootleg hype for one game and impute it to the other. (i.e. prototype/infamous)
The industy does like fanboyism. It creates hype and in some peoples pathetic lives, passion. Ultimately this leaves to higher sales.
Of course in my example those games were at least the same type of game.
Alan Wake is a silent hill style game, and Heavy Rain is (and let's be honest here folks) a fresh take on ...
I feel that From Software would screw up if they pulled a Demon's Souls 2.
They need to make a game in the "same style" as Demon's Souls, but at no point feel like they have to play by the rules Demon's Souls layed out.
In other words, A tense (real tension), difficult game (but never cheap)...and the rest....Go Nuts From Software.
Story in a FPS like MW2, is not important to the overall experience. Not really anyway.
In an RPG, it is all about the story.
I hope the rumors are true that this game may be coming to the Ps3.
If not, well, guess I'll grab it on PC.
This game is one of the few XBox games I want to play.
Demon's Souls was hands down my favorite RPG this year and of the generation.
Dragon Age was very solid however in a traditional sense.
Im looking forward to seeing some stuff on Last Rebellion by NIS for the PS3. Not much is really being said about it. NIS typically puts out some good games so this at least will get a look from me.
I cannot agree with you more.
I remember when FF's were fairly difficult games that required hours of grinding and exploration just to make it to the next town and buy proper equipment.
I agree that I think the departure, a true departure, started with FFX. It was easy and very linear.
I thought FFXII, tried to get back to the roots in a way, but with a story that seemed a little too Star Warsy without great characters (pissing us traditional...
Nice Alundra reference.
