Though I agree with the author, the author does not go deep enough with his/her analysis.
There IS A DIFFERENCE between a video game and a movie. But what is that difference? Its not the title is a "game"...well...in part perhaps...it is because you "DO" it. A simulation in a way. Sort of...I don't know...but there is this difference on interactivity.
As for the "Taliban" thing...well...perhaps the fact that the war i...
Im with the article's author. I HATE the whole "deathmatch" multiplayer. I did play Uncharted 2's multiplayer but that only held my interest till the real game game out (if you remember the demo was the multiplayer).
Then I played a game with excellent, and I do mean excellent On-Line play.
Demon's Souls.
Creative and engaging.
I've been playing games along time. Check You Super Mario Brot...
Or a bunch of sci-fi psycho-babble.
Everybody deserves alot of credit for this game.
FromSoftware: for giving it true thought and ignoring all the data that "Casual" games are the only way to go.
Sony Japan: for helping smooth it all out and letting From follow their creative vision.
Atlus: for seeing quality and bringing it to the US, in spite of all things saying western gamers only like FPS and casual games.
Much like the game itself......
There really has yet to have been a BAD FF game. There are some that others like more than others though.
I'm a FFVI fan. No other FF game has gotten close to that IMO.
Then FFIX.
Then FFV
Then FFVII
Then FFXII
Then FFX
Then FFXIII
Then FFVIII
Of course there is the original FF, but thats different...

Yeah I enjoyed 12 quite a bit.
FFX, ugh.
FFXIII is ok. It was pretty to look at, that is for sure.
Good list.
I particularly like the Storm Ruler. Though perhaps not that useful outside of that particular level...its awesome.
It all depends on how the game is tied together.
Most FF's are linear, but with different towns, some side quests, some places to grind, it made you feel as if you had a little more control of the situation. FFXIII, didn't have these features for the most part and it constantly made you feel like you were being dragged through the game. Yes there is Gran Pulse...which makes me sad because it does show that Square can still create awesome stuff but chooses not to d...
The first level of Demon's Souls.
Well, I guess it's not jaw dropping so much as it is teeth grinding.
I beat this game as a kid as well.
It may be a frustrating game, but it is NOT BattleToads.
Eff that game..Eff it forever.
Well if its a powerful story, them maybe it makes sense.
If its a non-sensical ending like the one in F03, then this is failage.
Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favorite games of all time.
If VC had the same depth in customization (and really...let's be honest...the game was lacking in the customization of weapons, armor, skills...all that stuff), It would be tied for the top spot...Instead, it falls to second tier.
Just Fallout for me.
Well, obviously it wont see the "Light of Day"...Get it?! You see he's a vampire...and.. well nevermind
Black Mages are greatness.
Still ugly, but looks fun!
Im holding off on this game till I see some reviews and compare it to the reviews of Two Worlds II.
Either way...either game will just be time filler till Fallout New Vegas comes out.
Speaking of which, any early reviews of Two Worlds II?
Simon's Quest was awesome.
A free world RPG re-make of Simon's Quest would be incredible
Great review and relevant! </sarcasm>
Wow these are some good deals.
If you have not picked up Demons Souls yet or Valkeria Chronicles yet...then really...you owe it to yourself to pick them up.
Resonance of Fate is actually pretty freakin sweet if you are looking for something complex and difficult (not as good as first two). Im playing it right now and am enjoying it quite a bit.
I may pick up Neir and/or Eternal Sonata for 30 bucks if I can find them for that cheap. But t...
