FFVI
main quest was very long.
Just reading that interview game me chills, and I started a new character.
It is a HUGE factor in this generation's games.
I honestly hope it subsides and lets developers get more creative with game design and gameplay.
Good call THATARTGUY.
I agree
I want to like AC, but i hate the combat. Its clunky and imprecise.
The end of the world in FFVI.
Missed FFVI which really is the longest Final Fantasy story-wise.
Mine was Demon's Souls. No other gamed consumed me more than that one.
Bad List. End of discussion.
Truely the golden age of gaming.
Couldn't agree more.
Nice grab with 7th Saga. I don't think I've heard that game mentioned in over 10 years.
Ya know, I really don't want a new generation yet. It will force game developers to come up with creative, innovative games instead of just a graphics arms race.
I agree with Chrono Trigger being #1. FFVI needed to be on there though...probably as #2.
Goodness what happened to Squaresoft. They made games that were truely amazing, capturing your imagination.
Demon's Souls needs to be on there too. I've been gaming a long time (8bit days) and no other game this generation and few in other generations consumed me like Demon's Souls.
The push for RPG's to have EPIC production value has helped kill JRPG's as well. Smaller developers can't compete with Square in terms of production values and many don't even try. That and the fact many don't make it across the Pacific because it is viewed that Westerns don't like them. Perhaps they are right as a whole. Why go through all that trouble localizing when there is little profit to be made.
Why not crank out CrappyFPS 4 and make mill...
FFXIII was a good game.
Not wonderful
Not amazing.
Not like other FF's.
It was pretty
Had good music
Opened up when you hit Gran Pulse.
It was just simply a good game. Thats all.
I think he was merely saying that WRPG's aren't inspired by Anime and that crazy stuff that goes into it.
I want to play this on my PS3.
Welcome to games as art XBOXers. Maybe with enough demand together with the Sony fanboys we can get developers to develope creative games instead of the next mindless shooter.
It will take all of us.
Yes, they have.
I can't believe a company that gave us FFVI, Secret of Mana and Chrono Trigger 15 years later would give us just decent (but pretty) games.
I liked Simon's Quest the best followed by SOTN.
Simon's Quest was before its time and actually quite brilliant.
I just want to play it.
