Shame they lost some of the "epicness" of the first, Glad they improved the battle system.
I will be picking this up. I've enjoyed all Bioware games so far this generation, can't see why I will not get a kick out of this one.
Groundbreaking, no. Fun for March? Absolutely.
Ill be picking this up tomorrow. No doubt.
Let the RPG's of 2011 begin.
They have some big name people behind it. Glad its a 2012 game, there isn't enough room in 2011 for another RPG.
Demons's Souls came out a week before Uncharted 2 did back in 2009.
I picked upo Demons's Souls because I need something to play before UC2 came.
Little did I know, I picked up my favorite game of the last decade.
I played DS nonstop till I bought UC2, quickly minced UC2 and put right back in DS not to leave my ps3 for another month.
If the game resonates with you in terms of challenge, style, all that jazz, t...
My most anticipated game of the year. And in 2011 with all the grea RPG's coming out, this is saying alot.
Why may I ask?
I picked it up and beat it.
It might be good for a summer lull bargin bin game for 30 bucks, but for full retail with DA2, L.A. Noire, and possible Dungeon Seige 3 and Dues Ex right around the corner...Id save my cash for a game worth 60 bucks.
So many people are beetching about this ZOMG DIFFERENT BATTLE SYSTEM FROM ORIGINS! And for PC gamers, you have every right to be upset.
However, for console gamers, I think this is all a very welcomed change. Yeah they stripped away equiping your entire party and all that which Im not happy about, but hey, for a more fun battle system (and you can still pause issue tactics, play) then Im ok with it.
Besides, not since Balders Gate 2 have I expected an...
This should have been posted 2 months ago.
Ha well if slow methotical gameplay isn't your thing, then they probably wont.
Depends on the genere I guess.
Absolutely, at first I was concerned about this as well being that Namco were the ones doing all the talking saying things like "we."
But with FromSoftware doing the publishing in Japan (where it is a ps3 exclusive), I think we are probably in good shape. (This is indeed my hope).
I've seen nothing to the contrary thus far that this game wont have the same tactical challenge of the first.
Some people are already saying th...
If you look at all the new screenshots that were recently released then Dark Souls looks easily as good if not better than Demons's Souls. Those pics they chose from Dark Souls were the not so great ones (except for the knight looking into the rubble of a house...that one is awesome).
The giant wolf, the one where that maiden is looking into another ruin with the blues, the trailer with the knight on the bell tower all look fantastic. A bit more color than Demons'...
"US government is worse then Holland's government so I do not see why a ban would not take place."
I've been reading N4G now for a few years. And that above comment might be the most idiotic assertion I have ever read on this site. And that is saying alot.
Care to justify that accusation with a detailed analysis...If you wanted to be accurate, a detalied analysis of Temporary Injunction law in the United States Federal Courts?
That is one of the most true lines when looking back at older games.
I played FFVI, Chrono Trigger and Secret of Mana all in that sweet spot 12-15 time span.
Not only are they arguably the best games ever created, but playing that at that age?! Incredible.
I dont understand why you would want to exploit this when it is a single player game.
Thats like having your R1 trigger just be "Win the game"
Im sure its fine for the anime JRPG crowd.
Ar Trol.. (however its spelled), looks a little more interesting than this one, but thats my preference.
Aloren: Ha you are probably right.
Not saying it is for everyone or anything or even a hardcore v casual gamer, but if you want to beat the game (for whatever motivation) then yes, it will seperate the men from the boys.
Fair enough point. I'd agree.
Dark Souls will reign.
Everything else will just be "cute" in comparison.
