I have a 360 so I have ME2 with all the DLC (and I have played it 4 times over).

I am sure the PS3 version is better, and that is a good thing because it says good things of the ME3 engine.

That being said, ME2 fans on the 360 that are feeling graphics envy can look forward to the eventual 360 GOTY version that will probably also include all DLC and run the ME3 engine.

I am not sure it is worth the buy for me... but I will look long and he...

Mass effect 3: ME1 was groundbreaking for me, and ME2 more-so. Add that it will conclude the trilogy... and you know it will be a good time.

Arkham City will be a buy also... I enjoyed The first more than I expected.

Hmmm... at the moment I resent that my Live subscription fees are paying for all the teens playing COD. If Activision charging for COD would allow live fees to drop... I would be all for it. The problem is that MS would just pocket the difference.

The best games are as hardcore as you want them to be, yet can still be appealing to more casual gamers by changing the settings.

That is what difficulty levels are all about... and in driving games... that is when you get to turn on or off assists.

Forza 3 was a perfect example of a racer that can be as hardcore, or casual. Just tweak the settings to get the game you want.

Well played. Much better article than most of the GT5 vs Forza 3 ones circulating.

Advertisements would never be able to offset the Live fees... especially since there are plenty of adverts on Live as it stands.

That is because competition is interesting. It generates posts and website traffic, which helps websites make money through sponsors.

Marketing feeds off of Fanboys taking sides. It is good business.

PS3 fanboy: I need to go buy GT5 to help push sales beyond Halo Reach so that I can flame Xbots on N4G when the article is posted.

There WERE more GT fans than Halo fans. It will be interesting to see how things finish off given the Strength of Halo Reach vs the lackluster GT5.

they must be biased XBOTS!!!!

Or maybe GT5 is an 8.5 game....

Ahhh yes... everyone trashes IGN for "Rushing" it's review before actually playing it fully (i.e. to level 40 where full damage is unlocked. One video was on youtube, it must be true!). Polyphony is labeled as genius for "exposing" reviewers that did not take the time to play to level 40. GT5 fanboys praise the damage in GT5 (having not gotten to Level 40 themselves). Sony denies that damage is actually "unlocked" in GT5. Sony Fanboys chase their tails. ...

Gamespot gave it a lot more time... and scored it at a 8.0. Lower than IGN.

GT5 is just not a 9/10 or 10/10 game. 8.0-8.5 is about right.

Ahhh yes... but then Gamespot took the time to review GT5 "properly"... and gave it a lower score.

Wow, just wow.

I said right from the start that the one video I saw of the damage was the same damn one quoted on every web site.

I found it funny that all of the PS3 fanboys were stating the "genius" of Polyphony for exposing poor reviews that were released pror to playing to level 40. Then there were the reviews that "properly" reviewed the game and praised it's great damage modeling. WHO DID THE PROPER REVIEW??? Answer = not ...

Truth. Thank you. I prefer people with reason... like yourself.

wow... this 6/10 does not agree with my pre-conceived notions of what I think GT5 should get as a score thus I will label the article as a fail/joke and call the writer an Xbot. Had the review been a 10/10 I would have no issue with it.

Who cares about the review score. Some of the 10/10's were equally a joke (the 9.9 review especially). Some people will ignore the bad parts of the game and score it too high, and others will focus too much on negatives. The truth is i...

Ok, so I am starting to think that there is no Full damage modeling at level 40.

Why? Because everyone who wants to prove it exists keeps referencing that same damn video. I am pretty sure I saw that video before GT5 was released.

Has anyone actually got to level 40 yet? Everyone keeps talking about how the reviewers are "exposed" (post above)... but it would seem that none of us have actuall seen it with out own eyes in game.

is this article a joke?

Anyone heard of human error?

p.s. if you want to compare lap times that mean something... go to the ring.

5529d ago 1 agree9 disagreeView comment

So do you think if they played to level 40 and got full damage the review would suddenly go to 10/10? Maybe 7.5?

Maybe the issues of the scores that most sites are giving GT5 go beyond damage modeling. Maybe GT5 is just not a perfect game. A good ending will not save a mediocre game from mediocrity.
