This year is a bit boring to me... Aside from me3 and crysis 2. I am feeling the shooter fatigue. The last guardian is a must buy... But i suspect it will be 2012.

I can't say I agree with IGN being anti 360... they favored the PS3 in the console matchup.
Maybe the PS3 exclusives just were not 10/10 games. Maybe a lot of people we just caught up in hype. When you tally all of the various reviews, GT5 and KZ3 did well, but not phenomenal. I have yet to judge KZ3, but GT5 was a solid 8.5 in my books.
Or maybe Metacritic and all reviewing websites are scamming against PS3 exclusives...

Their scores tend to be pretty spot on with metacritic. Seems pretty fair and balanced to me.
Munky, i always ignore the very top and very bottom reviews. The top reviews tend to be caught in hype and forgive too much, and the bottom ones overly nitpicky.
People like to trash them, but ign always seems to land in the middle of metacritic... Which makes sense because their reviews tend to be fair and balanced.
As much as fanboys cried conspiracy with the gt5 and kz3 reviews... The metacritic scores agreed with ign in the end...

COD is king of the hill of shooters. Hard to avoid mentioning them when reviewing a shooter, especially since it is mostly COD players that will be deciding if it is worth getting KZ3. Thus a review of a shooter that references the gold standard of shooter only makes sense.
The OP needs to take reviews less seriously. It is an opinion meant to inform. I personally found the KZ3 review lacking in specifics (like 3D performance, Move pros/cons), but I can't disagree w...

Hmmm... I am no fan of Killzone (all graphics, yet another shooter), but this 8.5 will make a lot of fanboys weep. "But 3x more polygons...", "but 100% of the PS3...". Maybe the Killzone fanboys will stop bringing up Killzone 3 in every thread now that they have an 8.5 to eat as humble pie.
I will decide myself (when the price comes down), but it just goes to say that all graphics is not enough to score well in the grossly-over-saturated shooter market...
I think a big part of the console wars is decision making and value. If you can only afford one system, you want to think you made the right choice. Bashing the opposition is a form of self reassurance.
