IGN is turning into one of the worst sites for flamebait articles. I wish they would leave it to the less-than-pro sites... but I guess hits are hits...
The first commenter above put it best: The PC version is best... you just can't beat the graphics. And with the cost of all the DLC, it is still cheaper than the PS3 version. Even the 360 version is cheaper after adding all the DLC.
The 2 disk argument is a joke. Comparing the comic to ME1 is a Joke. ...
If I only had a PS3 I would be just as happy as I am now. Same goes for 360 only. Both have more great games than I could ever have the time to finish.
I almost wish I only had one console. I might have less great games that I have yet to play.
a very good point. It certainly makes camping harder.
amen
Plug in using your ethernet cable. It makes no sense, but wireless just freezes it for some people. Good luck
has the wireless issue been fixed?
haha, true that. Maybe cheaters is something that we will all just have to deal with across all consoles, but it is sad to see the hackers finally break the PS3.
I think 2012 is realistic for all 3 consoles, though I would not be surprised to see PS4 in early/mid 2013. Wii will be first, followed by the 360... then PS3. The switch will be triggered by plummeting Wii sales as Kinect/Move drop in price and eat into Wii sales.
Sadly, this transition will hurt Sony most of all, because the PS3 has the longest legs of the three current consoles, and Sony has invested a lot in it's success. I imagine they want to stretch this gen l...
I hope some hackers get their PS3 bricked.
Want a cheap PS3 game? Get them new for reduced price 6-12mths after release. I do that for all but my top games (which I get at release).
Nice! Looking forward to this game.
That map slipped by me because I was trying to use wireless and the game just kept freezing on the loading screen. Today I moved my Xbox upstairs and plugged into the modem directly and it solved all problems. Very strange... and bad first impression for Crysis 2.
Too bad really. I really liked the security of my PS3. Sad to see it hacked. Hopefully Sony will get the edge on them. Pirates/cheaters deserve to get their PS3 bricked.
I am really looking forward to KZ3. In a year saturated with promising shooters, this one continues to impress. IF only I didn't miss the beta...
another solution is to get it on PC or 360.
Although I am sure it will be beautiful, I would love to see a nice looking game that was not just another "brown wasteland". It has been over-done.
I have not gotten past the loading screen with the city image. Just a terminal freeze.
I actually enjoyed the demo. I really liked the styalized graphics. The game was responsive and most of all... Fun. More shooters need to take themselves less seriously and just shoot some assholes.
It reminded me of a better looking borderlands.
I could not actually get a multiplayer game to start. My console kept freezing on the loading screens. After resetting my 360 6 times I gave up and played the Bulletstorm demo... which was kind of fun. Borderlands style with better graphics.
consoles are loss leaders. They are sold at a loss to make mmoney on online and games. Sony lost up to 300$ per console sold, and only broke even on hardware in 2010. The 360 lost 125$ per console at release and broke even on consoles sold after 1.5 years. They also make money on Live (PSN loses), Kinect (50$ per unit), and games (selling about 9.5 games per console, to Sony's 7.4).
What this all says is that the 360 is making way more money than the ps3. So accord...
This.
Good writing is written for and understood by the target audience.
The target audience is not grammar nazis.
The IGN article could be better, but this article criticizing it was just childish.
Must buys at release: crysis 2, ME3.
