60fps would be ideal, but as we all know there is more to it than FPS... including limits of the human eye and blurring.
I have high hopes for Shift 2 simply because I felt Shift 1 did something Forza and GT have so far failed to accomplish: make you FEEL like your are racing.
Real life race cars are loud as hell and involve the driver being jostled within the car over every bump. Forza and GT are just too sterile in that manner.

2012, fall.
Support will continue after that (think ps2 after ps3 release)

Mass effect was always an action rpg, just like oblivion. You can't blame either for killing the genre. Gamers killed the genre long ago whith their wallets. COD, halo, all huge sellers. Gaamers speak with their wallets, developers give gamers what they want. Dragon age origins was a holdout amungts rpg's, but it was a terribly flawed game.
Don't blame bioware. They take fan feedback and telemetry to give gamers the game they want. Finish your playthroughs ...
I am near the top of the page. Now everyone will read my brilliance.
I think choice is a great thing.
I think Bioware had it down pat with the mass effect series. You have choice, but you are generally never cut out of major game content with your game choices. Instead, your choices flavor and personalize the story.
Agreed. Love the pier level too. I was excited to see it in adjustment bureau.
Because nothing is any good if other people like it.
I think she is right in saying violence in general will desensetize people to violence, flooding works. but all studies on the subject of desesitization from media leading to increased violent acts are poor in quality because they are all retrospective , without proper blinding or controls. Implying desensetization to violence leads to violent acts or even rape... Is just stretching it. Was there a huge spike in rape after the soldiers came back to their wives after ww2?

Enough of your logic. It gets in the way of my childish elitism tantrums!
All that swinging and dodging. Yet another button mashing action title, with no party based strategy, that is aimed at the fps crowd.
I am talking about oblivion and skyrim. ;-)
Boo hoo set it to hard and move on.
Some people look for any excuse to bash and cry.
More options is a good thing, jjust like being able to toggle auto attack.
Microsoft paid for the timed demo exclusive.
End of port paranoia.
If they had something to hide, therr would be no demo.
Great games excel in three things:
1. Gameplay
2. Graphics
3. Story
day/night transmission? Manual or automatic?
More like "Day/Night Transition..."
Quality much?
If you define a pc gamer as a gamer with a pc... Than yes, this is still the fault of pc gamers. ;-)
The gaming world is no longer black or white. Just about everyone has a pc in the home, and 1+ console.
Blame pirates... Most of which own a pc.
The classic rpg is a hard sell in the world of graphics whores. Graphics were abysmal in origins... But in return you had tons of content. Only the quality of the writing kept origins alive. Quantity at the cost of quality in graphics. You can't have both.
Now look at mass effect. Higher quality but less quantity. It is a tradeoff.
I will take quality any day. I dont have time for crap games.
And all this streamlining... Nothing bu...
are you kindding?
This is incredible looking. Sure, consoles will look only slightly better than your typical FPS shooter, but this is incredible on the PC. Just love the lighting and sound.
Sigh... Gamers complain crysis requires too much hardware and few can play it.
They make crysis 2 more accessable to the average pc, and release a demo that 'everyone' can run, and they complain.
Stop pirating games, and then get back to me.
exposed buttocks... hot.

Does kinect joyride count? ;)
I have four wheels actually. One for my playstation, the other for my 360.
My "third wheel" is a 73' BMW 2002Tii that I do the odd hobby racing with on a real race track. My "fourth wheel" is a 93' 911. Admittedly they are not production race cars, and I am no race car driver. You have me there. Still, I love racing and have chatted with many professional drivers at v...
