It's nice to see a franchise like Assassin's Creed breaking the trend of annual releases. It's a franchise that's clearly been losing some steam and the disastrous launch of Unity continues to haunt the franchise to this day if the sales of Syndicate are any indication. I think an Egyptian-themed entry in the series would be very promising, especially if they're able to utilize the extra year to reboot the franchise so it feels fresh to fans of the series. Think Call of Du...

It's always cool to hear from reviewers who may not be a fan of a particular genre of game, because you will get an unbiased response. Strategic-RPG's are an acquired taste; It's not the most appealing genre (you can just run and gun here, lol), but when you take the time to learn how to play them, you'll appreciate how fun and challenging they can be. I'm definitely picking this up later today!

Boundless looks and sounds amazing; really liked the art style that was featured and the details about the economy were extremely impressive. I could see myself getting lost in that universe for a long long time.

I'm not fully sold on VR, but until I try it out, I'll reserve any judgment. I hope it's as good as its been hyped up to be by the press. Could be game changing!

I never played Plants Vs Zombies: Garden Warfare simply because I don't own an Xbox One, and by the time it came out on PS4, I was busy with other games. Does anyone know if this is a timed exclusive to Xbox One again?

Day of the Tentacle Remastered on the PlayStation Vita...nuff said! I though Grim Fandango and Broken Age on the Vita were perfect!

It's great seeing games like Axiom Verge, Mega Man Legacy Collection, and Super Meat Boy getting some love this year. It's easy to focus on the big budget titles, but the smaller games can still deliver an experience that will stick with you for years.

HellDivers was seriously a blast to play, when it wasn't experiencing a few hiccups. However, once things got ironed out, there's no denying this game was a blast to play and offered up one of the best coop experiences of 2015.

I don't play first person shooters at all (motion sickness), but I've heard plenty about Call of Duty over my years as a gamer. It sells the most and it's the most successful. I've heard little-to-nothing about the Rainbow Six franchise, and that's probably because it gets lost in the shuffle like most other shooters in the world of gaming. Plus, from my understanding, Rainbow Six games are much more tactical than the likes of Call of Duty, which is probably a big turn-off...

I've heard nothing but good things about Life Is Strange and I fully plan on getting started on that once the disc version comes out next month. I'm very interested in The Vanishing of Ethan Carter because I've heard it features a very strong narrative and a incredible atmosphere. Lastly, I think I might have to give Assassin's Creed: Syndicate a try. I was hesitant after the whole Unity fiasco, but it appears the franchise has righted the ship and it's a much more polishe...

I'm very happy to see Kojima-san is no longer locked down by the tyrants at Konami, but the rescue operation can't stop there...now we need some of these other publishers to make deals with Konami to buy the rights to the Castlevania and Silent Hill franchises. I respect Kojima big time, but I'm also a huge fans of those other series, and I'm concerned with how Konami will use them going forward. Clearly they are out of touch with not just developers, but with gamers as well. ...

I really wish I had time to play all of these games, it sucks when you have those silly "real life" obligations to attend to first. There were some brilliant games released in 2015 that could take you over 100+ hours to complete everything, and those are the titles that are so scary to commit to if you have an interest in multiple games throughout the year. Hopefully I can get through some of them and start the rest in early 2016. That's a pretty solid list though and an overall...

Considering how massive the FFVII remake will be - they've said there will be areas to explore that weren't previously accessible in the original - I don't mind the multi-part approach, as long as it's not broken up into several parts. If it means we can have the game sooner as opposed to waiting until the full game is ready, I don't seem the harm in it. I do wonder just how big this game will be once it's fully downloaded on to our systems, might need to upgrade my 1T...

I guess my question is, is there really any room for games like this to be successful? Sure everyone says they hate Call of Duty but for some reason it still sells more than most other games. Seems to be that more accessible shooters will continue to be the popular choice, while tactical shooters, with all its team-based gameplay, will continue to burn out quickly because they aren't nearly as accessible (i.e. appealing) as games like Call of Duty and Battlefield. If thats the case, why w...

Based on the first hour, I wouldn't say the game is scary in terms of cheap jump scares, but there is a definite constant eeriness to it thanks to some really good audio. I'm curious to see where this story goes and find out ultimately what is the driving force behind these dreams. Make no mistake though, based on this video, this isn't anything like P.T. or other more intense horror games. This definitely plays out more like a thinking man's psychological horror game...which ...

Why would anyone judge VR based on a videos that can't convey the experience the way it's meant when you strap on the headset? I saw a ton of people on twitter, in comment sections, and during the chat of those live streams that were writing off VR because of a tech demo that went sour, yet there are tons of impression pieces out there that rave about some of the demos (The Kitchen, Heist, etc) they've played personally. There's just no way to show of VR properly to win over g...

This is somewhat disappointing. I thought Just Cause 2 was a pretty ambitious title when it launched on PS3/Xbox 360, but I felt it ran pretty good. I don't remember much about the story in that one (that probably says a lot about the quality of it) but I don't associate the Just Cause series with rich story telling. The performance issues are definitely the biggest negative I've heard of so far. It appears this is a very large game with some impressive visuals, so hearing that th...

Everyone I've spoken too seems to really enjoy Star Wars: Battlefront, thanks to DICE's masterful use of the Star Wars properties. I still wish it has a campaign; I can only imagine how awesome it would've been considering the games overall presentation. Heres hoping Amy Hennig's penned Star Wars game delivers the goods!

With all the games that launched in the month of the November, this is the one I was pulling for the most. Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, no matter how "innovative" Activision claims it to be, its still a just another Call of Duty game. Battlefront looks great, but it's just an MP-only experience. Fallout 4, while I'm sure is a very good game, it's also very daunting and requires a lot of time to fully appreciate. Rise of the Tomb Raider is a follow up to one of the better r...

Solid list, though I'm not sure I'd keep Titanfall over Destiny. Don't get me wrong, I think Titanfall was a good game, but I think with the Taken King and Update 2.0, Destiny has evolved in to a much better game and a much better experience. I've yet to play Ori and the Blind Forest but everyone I've talked to who has played speaking very highly of it, and seeing as I'm a huge fan of platformers, I think it's time I take that plunge and pick it up.

I thought the Nintendo Direct was pretty good actually, even though there was way more focus on amiibo than I would've like. The add-on to Tri-Force Heroes sounds really good, and I'm still holding out hope that Star Fox Zero will be much better than most are suggesting I will be. And It sounds like I really need to pick up Fallout 4 because I've yet to talk to one person who says it's a bore. Going to be a busy winter for gamers!
