He's the author of the article and nobody said you should care. It appears N4G allows gaming websites to submit opinion pieces and Brent took advantage of that. Hope that answers your question. :)
1. The developer defines their game as a arcade shooter / puzzle platformer hybrid.
2. Not only can you jump in Rise & Shine, but you can also double jump.
Those downvotes are justified.
Geez, this game beautiful. Really like the comic book art style. Nice get for Xbox for sure! Hopefully it makes its way to PlayStation platforms at some point. This looks like a game everyone needs to play!
So basically a platformer for masochists? Yep, I'll be picking this game up tomorrow. Looks absolutely gorgeous as well!
I've always been intrigued by this franchise. I may have to find some time to squeeze it in this winter. Sounds fun
I believe Microsoft will deliver a totally kick ass console, but for me, the price is everything. Hopefully it's in the $399-$499 range! Anything above that, with exception the hardest of core and super tech enthusiast, will be a tough sell
Really happy to see Jotun getting the recognition it deservers. It's a fantastic game with gorgeous animation and a incredible soundtrack. So glad it came to consoles this year.
There is so much to do in Final Fantasy XV! I'm really looking forward to the expansions and the cooperative component they're adding.
I can never get into these games with deep micro-managing elements, but it's impressive to watch others play it who are into this sort of thing. Kudos to the atmosphere in this one though, very somber and gritty.
I've heard nothing but great things about this game from some friends, and it's gorgeous to boot. Looking forward to playing this in two weeks!
I actually pre-ordered this after playing the demo. I'm sold! Plus, I buy pretty much buy anything from Platinum Games so I'm sure that helped sway my decision.
Wow, you can totally tell this is from the publisher that brought us Hotline Miami! 16-bit art, ultra violent gameplay, and rad soundtrack. Devolver Digital loves this kind of stuff and so do their fans. Looks pretty challenging to boot. I still can't figure out why indie developers opt out of online co-op in favor of couch co-op. Don't get me wrong, I love couch co-op, but for the sake of accessibility and appeal, add in some online co-op as well.
It's stuff like this, whether they are short experiences or long, that makes me a believer about the legitimacy of VR gaming. This feels like the big leap forward. I just hope people try it, that's the only way they will fully realize it.
The Game Awards still need some work (Shick Hyrdo Man...really?) but it is showing improvement and coming along. Hopefully people will continue to allow Geoff to mold this into a premier show, the show that he envisioned when started this.
I loved Resident Evil back in the day, and while I'm disappointed I won't be able to play this game (I get motion sickness playing FPS games), I'm really glad they are returning to their original roots and focusing more on taut gameplay and atmosphere. Excited to see how this does when it launches. Maybe add 3rd Person support down the line?
Comparisons to Zelda? PlayStation 4 Pro Support (4K/60FPS)? $19.99? Not sure how I missed this last gen, but now seems like the perfect time to jump into it!
This game looks surprisingly fun despite the less-than-stellar reviews it's received since launch. I love the implementation of rogue-like elements here and it looks like the action can heat up rather quickly in areas with many of those enemy portals. It's too bad the framerate isn't smoother on consoles; I'm curious to see if the PC version performs much better.
Looks like it runs pretty good and has all the necessary ship upgrades to combat the tougher enemies with. I love me a good shmup though, and I'm curious to see how this one runs on a Vita.
I'm more interested in hearing about the performance gains for PlayStation VR. Many of the reviews coming out today talk about the PRO itself and some of the games that have received Pro patches. While some of referenced that PSVR games should improve, there haven't been any in-depth analysis yet.
Nintendo Switch Reveal: One launch game worth a damn is incredibly concerning. A paid online service that is needed in order to use a smart phone app to use voice chat? Overpriced accessories? Yep, sounds like another Nintendo console that'll be DOA. Nintendo is one step closer to becoming a 3rd Party software-only publisher.
Scalebound: This really sucks, had high hopes for a Platinum Games' joint where where you're paired up with a dragon and tag-team giant b...
