Console gaming is totally dead! /s
I'm not sure how I feel about these "combat-free" games. I understand it's meant more as a relaxing experience, but after playing video games for so many years because of my love for challenging gameplay that has consequences for making mistakes, I guess it's just a genre I'll have to spend more time with to appreciate. No doubt that this is a very pretty game though.
I can totally see the comparisons to Stealth Inc and Spelunky, which are two games I've really enjoyed spending a ton of time playing. Nice to see Cross-Buy and Cross-Save are supported on the PlayStation versions. I hope it runs just a good on the Vita version, because this looks like the type of game that would flourish on a handheld.
I can see it now...

I really like how we starting to see more and more quality adventure games coming out. I enjoy these thinking games that are slower paced.
This is totally my jam; I'll be picking this up immediately!
Unfortunately, I missed EVO this year. Were there any fights that even came close to the one between Garireo and Dogura in last years BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma finals?
I watched your Lets Play video, and yeah, this game has a very eerie atmosphere too it. I can see the comparisons to The Swapper as well. I may have to pic this up; I've always enjoyed a challenging adventure game.
RIP Saturo Iwata, you will be missed. Thank you for so many memories and awesome consoles.
Being a huge fan of games like Broken Age and Grim Fandango, I'm curious to try this game out next week. It didn't look too tough early on in the video, but from what I've read, some of the later puzzles are indeed very challenging.
Yes, the ball physics look super weird in this game. Shots that stop on a dime in some instances, even if they're on a low trajectory. Weird.
Since I'm not a fan of fright-fests like PT or Outlast, and a avid fan of adventure games, I'm actually considering this title. Even at $9.99 for PS Plus members, a good story goes a long ways with me, and the art style is quite appealing as well.
It's my understanding that this game has been in development for 2 years (I remember a screen shot popping up over a year ago), so it is kind of strange that there are only 8 courses here as opposed to the 20+ that were available on the last couple of Tiger Woods games. I like the idea of this becoming more of a platform where they update the game over time as opposed to cranking out annual releases. I think that could be a very cool strategy, but only if EA Tiburon is constantly adding n...
Normally I try not to pay attention to angry gamers because most times they consist of people with a false sense of entitlement, but with the recent botch job that is the Batman Arkham Knight port, as well as the Destiny conundrum, I can see why there is so much anger. Though it is sort of funny seeing the "PC Master Race" stomping their feet and pouting, but then again, I'm not a PC gamer, so may I should sympathize a little?
Metroid has been reduced to "red-headed stepchild" status apparently. I don't understand why Nintendo treats such an awesome franchise with such little respect. Well, here's hoping for a revival on NX
I got hooked on Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn when it first launched, and I'm anxiously awaiting the Heavensward add-on arriving later this month. That being said, I really dig the Elder Scroll games and the thought of an MMO version is really enticing. I know it received mixed reviews at launch, but it sounds like they've improved the experience quite a bit over the last year. I may have to give this a look-see especially considering they removed the required subscription fee.
Hard to disagree with you, the attached gameplay video is cringe-worthy. Such a shame, from the trailer I would've thought this game had excellent potential.
I've played part of this game so far, and it is pretty charming, but don't let that fool you. There are some parts that will kick you straight in the teeth. I do agree with the reviewer though about some of the controls. There were many times where I'd jump towards a ledge, and my character wouldn't pull himself up (like he normally does) and instead jumped outward in the other direction. This can be a bit of an annoyance when your trying to avoid aggressive enemies and proje...
Congrats on the one year anniversary!
I've watched quite a few videos of this game, and it looks very challenging, which is how platformers should be! Thanks for that link, because some of the beats playing in the videos I've watched are pretty awesome.
